- Oh that is good news. I spoke to the owner early yesterday evening when she'd just got back from the funeral, and was on her way out to check out the areas Martha last seen in. So I am really pleased that Martha gave herself up. She does look pleased to be home!

- Yes yes yes she's home!!!! Martha has finally been caught and seeming to be exhausted as you'd imagine considering the ground she's covered. So pleased to see her safe. Well done everyone. Refresh for update reunited picture

- I spoke to owner earlier this morning. Unfortunately she is out of the are at present attending a funeral, which is why dog was left with a dog sitter (whom the dog knew) and from where it escaped - scaling a 9 foot wall! Owner due back in area later today (Monday). Dog doesn't know the immediate area well, but owner lives about 7 miles away, so suspects dog may be trying to get home. She has advised neighbours at her home to put food out and watch out for Martha in case she turns up there.
To clarify, Martha is micro-chipped and chip company advised. She was tagged when she escaped, but someone tried to grab her via her collar and she backed out of it, so currently is not wearing a collar/tag.
Martha has been seen in the area several times, but is too shy to approach strangers. Local farmers, golf club, police, DW, etc. etc. all advised.
If you see Martha, best not to try to catch her directly as she is likely to bolt from strangers, but to report her to the owner who can pass on info. to local people searching - some of whom do know her and might be able to get to her.
N.B. The scar on her neck is an old and healed scar from a historical wire injury. All healed but there is a bald area on her neck.
So please keep a look our for this lovely girl. Thank you. - 2016-04-17 22:11 Sue - onestopalldogs
