  • Other Info Anne recently arrived from Bosnia and is a scared dog. No aggression known. She is very wary of people so will not be easy to catch. Anne will approach women but not men. She loves sausages so this would be an easy way to entice her if she comes near you. She has never been free her whole life. She was born in kennels and has never had to fend for herself so she will gravitate towards somewhere were there is a food source.

ABLDR you might like to have a look at Ray Deddicotts (Rayded) suggestions on Blue reunited page for Fly ID 67257. Ray is a super dooper dog trapper/catcher who has caught lots of runaways and also helped with quite a few dogs that were lost on this site. You could adapt his notes to suit your circumstances. Good luck with getting the girlie home.

Anne is in the fields behind the kennels at the moment and late last night and early this morning, she has also been sighted since yesterday morning in Blackbush Lane, Victoria Rd Oxford Rd, High Road, Stevens Crescent and most of the fields surrounding the the Village, we are getting lots of calls all the time when she goes for a walk, which is great. but as she is like most of the dogs we bring in from Romania etc is very nervous of people she doesn't know, which unfortunately is everyone here. So we feel our only chance is if she walks back into the kennel she was in when she decided to go for a run (as she keeps coming back to the kennels is a big possibility) or she goes into someone's back garden or shed where she could trap her self. We really didn't want to use a fox trap as we know the damage this can cause if not discovered quick enough, your suggestions are very welcome either through this site or on 07976 365650 Many Thanks for your help in advance

Thanks Doglover for update.

Anne is in the fields right by the kennels where she went missing. She is looking at the people there searching for her, but will not approach them. They are hoping that with the smell of food she will make her way back into the kennel and they have rigged up the gate so that it will shut once she is in. You can follow my post on Paw Helping dogs in need. For updates.

There is Dunne's a wholesale pet food store same road last sighting. Has anybody given them poster. She may be drawn there by food smells.

I think there are greyhound kennels in this area, might be worth letting them know.

Apart from obvious gender discrepancy... could this be your dog? The photo is quite dark so can't tell if there is brown fur on side of face ? ..

We have a possible sighting of Anne yesterday on fields along Lower Dunton Road next to the golf course. The man has described her to a tee without even seeing a picture of her. Please share and let people know. Thank you.
Doglover
Will share. x

If you've not done so already, it might be worth asking "Bombers Cafe" (in the A128 layby) to keep a poster to hand with a contact number ... she may be drawn to food smells. Feel for you, it's a vast area.

We had 2 volunteers and members of the kennels staff out looking yesterday. They checked all the fields around Orsett Hall and the residential area at the bottom of Orsett Hall Road. No sightings of her. We really need a sighting of her to establish the area she may be in now. It's quite a rural area so these sightings may be few and far between unfortunately. We are still putting up posters, notifying farmers, residents etc etc. Doing what we can, but in all fairness we desperately need a sighting. Please everyone share on your Facebook page, your twitter, anywhere. Thank you.

Someone asked for a Bosnian phrase for come here... Dodji Vamo... Sounds like Dodgy Van-o ... Sadly I dont think that'll work... Is she being spotted in the same area? Maybe time for a humane trap if so.
Bo
She escaped from Crystalvale kennels

Any further sightings of Anne? Can the carers of Anne get a few basic Bosnian phrases together? Come, this way, dinner etc. She is going to understand a lot more of her own language than ours. Last edited: 2016-04-24 11:03:46 by DogtopiaPetServices

Yes - no prob, just that dogs tend to trek back to where they were lost, and you're more surrounded by fields, and she may not go to SLH (it's been shared to SLH page too) - so hope you find her soon x
ABLDR
Hi Di...Yes from Horndon On The Hill. It's the same postcode though isn't it??
Di
Poor girl must be scared - I bumped the post on the Orsett page (suggesting any sightings to call the contact number) - I hope she can be found VERY SOON ... I reckon that's critical. Let's hope for news soon. Is she missing from Horndon (as opposed to Stanford) ? I'll try to get out that way tomorrow, but have poorly doggies & probs, so can't make promises x
