- Heres a picture of Jasper on the mend, The boy is doing really well, although post op care with a spaniel is ridiculous to say the least. expecting to make a full recovery minus a leg :)

- Thinking of Jasper and his family. You are absolutely right JulieH. Tripaws don't let their handicap slow them down one little bit.
- 2016-05-01 17:48 Hollieberry
- Jasper must be one of the bravest dogs around to try and get home with awful injuries and being caught up in wire for days bless him .

- Oh no, poor Jasper. I'm glad that he has been found but sorry to hear that he is in a bad way.
I've just heard that Jasper was found quite close to home after crawling on to a farm track but was tangled up in a fence. It seems he may have a broken leg. As he has been lost for so long he is very dehydrated and is currantly at vets.
At least he is in good hands and hopefully he will pull through.
Thank you to all who have helped search, poster and share for Jasper.Last edited: 2016-04-28 17:49:02 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex - 2016-04-28 14:12 TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex

- Good memory TK.
I think it would be a good idea to make sure that there are posters all the way along Powdermill Lane area as well as other places mentioned before. - 2016-04-26 22:17 TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- Sorry to hear still no news..
lots of shares on fb..
Just a thought, you say the other dog returned home looking quite well keep. We have had a couple of dogs that went missing from Catsfield area, Shep in Nov 2014 and Obi in May 2015, they both went missing from their gardens, both missing for a few days and both returned home looking like they had been looked after by someone..?
Is there a chance he could have got trapped in an outbuilding, haybarn etc? Hope some good news very soon x

- Thanks mum-jaz I have changed the breed to Springer which comes under English Springer Spaniel!
Great to have another photo so that we can see his other markings. - 2016-04-26 20:12 mum0jaz
- I've put another photo up
Thanks everyone for all your help. - 2016-04-26 20:02 mum0jaz
- Thank you,
Jasper is a Springer but they didn't have that choice. - 2016-04-26 19:56 Reynard
- Is Jasper not a Springer?
Make sure 101 has a log of Jasper as some progressive Police Forces will cross check & may know something. Last edited: 2016-04-26 19:57:37 by Reynard - 2016-04-26 19:44 Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
- Thanks Georgiaa-s. I know a couple of people who live near there so have asked them to put a poster up. They know of Jasper and the terriers.
Would be quite unusual for a dog to be stolen in this area so just a thought .. wondering if Jasper would have gone after a bitch in season? Quite possible and if he has he would hang around for several days.
- 2016-04-26 17:35 Georgiaa-s
- Clarkey- I believe he's gone missing from Freckley Hollow, his owner actually lives in the normandhurst estate backing onto those stables (Wilton house? I think?) it isn't uncommon for their dogs to roam- however they are never far away. He went missing with another dog which returned 3 days later- apparently it didn't look like it had been running loose for 3 days. he is chipped, reported as missing with chip companies, dog warden, police ect. All over facebook & locals are aware. Owner fears he may of been stolen. Last edited: 2016-04-26 19:18:26 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

- Thanks TK and Georgiaa-s. Please can extra email alerts go out Admin?
mum0jaz: Thanks for registering with Doglost and I'm sorry to see that Jasper has been missing since last week.
Most important is to get posters up anywhere and everywhere in the area (where so that people are aware that Jasper is lost. Suggest putting in the post office, entrances to footpaths of woods, pubs, bus stops, notice boards (church etc) outside schools etc. ie: anywhere a lot of people will see them.
Let the stables behind the Post Office/shop know as well please as they ride in the woods.
Give to anyone who delivers and travels around the area..taxi drivers, milkman, postman etc.
Please let us have as much info as you can, such as which street/lane Jasper went missing from and whether he has gone off before. Does he have a collar on (with or without tag) or a microchip? Also please make sure vets, rescue centres, kennels in area are aware of Jasper (email with a photo if poss)
Best of luck with your search. Last edited: 2016-04-26 14:46:38 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex - 2016-04-26 12:51 TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- Please could email alerts go out to surrounding areas TN31, TN32, TN34, TN37 and TN38, as helpers in those areas which can help. I am in TN37 and drive to Battle daily.
Is there any further info on how this boy went missing?
I have seen fb posts yesterday saying he had been missing since 17th April, I advised owner to put him on Doglost. - 2016-04-26 12:11 Georgiaa-s
- Have texted owner (happen to know them) Jasper was out in garden with another dog, both dogs escaped, one returned 2 days later although Jasper didn't. Strange that they've separated. Waiting to here from Clarkey R.E advice xx
