"But on Wednesday evening the search came to a happy ending when the feisty feline was spotted running near the crash site by eagle-eyed driver Lee Palmer.
The beautiful Bengal, minus a few of his nine lives, has now been reunited with Hussein in London, who called the finding a ‘miracle’.
“I just knew I was going to find him, I feel like it was meant to be,” said Lee, from Royal Wootton Bassett who said he had been keeping a close eye out for the missing kitten after spotting appeals online.
“Every time I drove past the accident site, I would look out for him, but this time when I approached I saw a small tabby cat run out of the bushes onto the hard shoulder. I knew it was him and he was heading for lane one,” he said.
“I immediately swung into the hard shoulder, I wasn’t going to let him run out into the road during rush hour.
“I knelt down and called his name, he was a bit wary but when he heard his name he started yapping away, and nuzzling me, I grabbed him and he was purring away, I think he was just relieved he had been found.
“He was skin and bone when I picked him up, it’s obvious he hadn’t eaten so I got him some pouches which he wolfed down.
After speaking with Hussein, it was confirmed the kitten was Bruno.
“I said to his owner, you have an amazing cat here, the fact that he’s managed to survive is absolutely incredible, he’s so resilient," said Lee.
Hussein, who is still recovering from the crash, said he was overcome with emotion on hearing his beloved pet had been found safe and well.
“I can’t put it into words, I had lost hope and to hear that he was okay, made me so excited," he said.
“I am so grateful to Lee for finding him, he has made me so happy again, and thank you to everyone for coming together to find him. Without social media and the support I have received from so many kind hearted people I would never have got him home.
“I’ve had sleepless nights wondering if Bruno was safe and happy and now I can’t quite believe he is home.
“At first I didn’t want to get my hopes up because I had had calls before but everything matched up when I spoke to Lee, I knew it was him.
“I just fell to my knees and cuddled him when I saw him, there were tears of joy, I was starting to lose hope and now he’s back with me, I believe it is a miracle.
"He hasn't left my side since he's been home, he's been constantly purring and he's so happy to be back with me."" - 2016-05-05 15:21 Nelsonbeagle
- That has made the day for many people. I hope you are both all right after an horrendous chapter. I've been out looking as I'm not far away and prayed someone would find Bruno.

- Wonderful, wonderful news. so pleased that Brumo has been reunited with his loving owner. Stay safe , and close now Bruno.
If not already done so I would have Bruno neutered, and microchipped, in case he goes awol again. Un-neutered
male cats can go a very long way looking for a female
to mate with, crossing busy roads etc. *He is sexually
mature now) And old enough to ahve the "Op". We dont
want Bruno involved in another rta, or fathering unwanted
kittens. Cuts the risk of feline
aids too. I spoke to someone recently whose cat came back injured (Un-neutered) after being in a fight with another cat. Needed vet treatment etc for wounds etc.
I just hope they have him neutered Lovely reunited photo

- I just love to see stories like this and to know there are men and women out there who stop and rescue the animal. as someone else commented always good to concentrate search at the scene of the accident - so many times the dog or cat is right there.

- I was alerted to BRUNO and asked to register him on DL, great he has already been registered. I've copied the news coverage and updated the heading to stand out that he has been involved in an RTC.
Rooting for him to be found soon and safely back with his owners. - 2016-04-26 23:24 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

Appeal to find kitten Bruno thrown from car in M4 crash
A HEARTBROKEN pet-owner is appealing for help after his beloved kitten escaped when his car overturned on the M4.
Hussein Sharaf was driving home to London from his Cardiff workplace on Friday around 6.30pm when his Seat Ibiza drifted into the central reservation and flipped multiple times.
The crash. between junctions 17 and 16 , left software developer Hussein with minor injuries and needing surgery.
But his five-month-old kitten Bruno, who was in a cat carrier in the passenger seat, was thrown from the car.
The Bengal and tabby mix house-cat could not be found at the crash site, leaving Hussein gravely concerned as to Bruno’s fate.
“The weather was bad and all of a sudden the car went into the central reservation and rolled.” Hussein said.
“When I looked Bruno’s carrier wasn’t next to me, and was a few feet behind me on the motorway. The cage door had been ripped off.
“The first thing I said was, where’s my kitten, I need my kitten, but he wasn’t there.
“All the emergency services staff were very helpful but they couldn’t find him.
“I was told he was seen fleeing the scene but I don’t know what has happened to him. Bruno is a house cat and doesn’t like the cold, at home he sleeps on the heater so I know he will be absolutely terrified. I just want my little boy found.”
Hussein, along with a search group has canvassed the area, but due to the location of the crash, it has proved difficult to reach the area.
“It’s difficult to get to the scene which is a huge field and you can’t just stop on the hard shoulder, so friends have driven backwards and forwards looking for him,” Hussein said.
Hussein plans to return to Swindon continue the search for Bruno.
“I’m more worried about Bruno than I am about myself. I’m worried he’s scared and hiding. I hope he is okay but I just don’t know,” he said.
If you would like to join the search party call Ali on 07405 666 992 or Hussein on 07944 010 800
