- So glad he is home, I hope his owners will rethink whether he can access the garden via his dogflap when they are out. Found in Manchester says to me that he wasn't just an opportunistic sell on....there was some organisation here, I hope the police investigate properly. I see from his FB page his owners have raised their concerns with TVP professional standards department.

- Fabulous news! As others have said, Clever Paddy for going up to someone he could sense would help him. He must have become a bit wary of strangers over the past 3 weeks. And also, POWER TO THE CHIP! x
- 2016-05-24 13:16 LindaT
- That`s BRILLIANT news, and what luck that Paddy found the right man to rescue and reunite, how many would have picked someone whose wife had a scanner!? Bloomin` best bit of news today ... stay safe now gorgeous little Paddy and I hope the scum who put you and your family through this awful time get their come-uppance but I would say don`t be holding your breaths, then again miracles do happen, as has been shown here <:-)
- 2016-05-24 11:37 Magnscruff
- Brilliant news and thank goodness for Johnny and his wife and of course for the power of the chip! Happy dance :-)

- Ohhh, Such Wonderful News - Well Done Paddy for Finding a really nice Person to 'Rescue' You - Clever Clever Boy
It just proves the point that Shares & Tweets are needed in Every Postal Area when Pets are Lost - & especially when Known to be Stolen - they can 'travel' very long distances
I am sooo glad that Paddy was made #2hot2handle - unless of course He was sooo clever that He managed to run Away - I would like to think the Latter ! :)
I really HOPE that the POLICE will NOW take this Case Seriously enough to try & Find these ********* Pet Thieves - they need to know that it is NOT their God-Given Right to Steal from people - whether a FlatScreen TV or a Beloved Family Pet :(

- from Facebook FANTASTIC NEWS - PADDY IS HOME! We had a call yesterday evening from a lovely man called Johnny Shaw in Manchester. He was at a friend's house and this little dog with a collar and lead attached wandered up to him. He assumed a man and child nearby owned him and thought nothing of it, but when asked they said it wasn't their dog. Luckily Johnny is a dog lover and even luckier his wife is a groomer with a scanner! So we got the so longed for phone call around 8 pm last night so drove straight up to Manchester to bring Paddy home. He is in good health but is thin and very tired, he has also been very poorly clipped - probably as a disguise. Sorry, I would have put the link on but I am rubbish at that.

- UPDATE from owner - 35 minutes ago on Facebook, possible sighting - ""Just had a call with a possible sighting of Paddy ... the lady wasn't sure but saw a dog similar about 90 mins ago in Hemel Hempstead on Rumballs Road outside Longdean School - the dog was by itself trotting along the side of the road. Probably a false alarm but if you are in the area would appreciate if you could keep your eyes open. The lady is driving around now to see if she can see him again. Will update if we hear anything ""Last edited: 2016-05-21 13:48:48 by Magnscruff

- Paddy's owners are also asking if anyone has any experience of using The Pet Detectives
- 2016-05-20 15:44 Skywalker99
- Can CJ help here, from Paddy's FB page 'Really disappointed with the Police. We contacted them today to ask for an update - we have passed on several pieces of information that have been given to us over the last few weeks about suspicious individuals and behaviour that may be linked to the attempted break-ins and theft of Paddy. They have not bothered to follow up, the case officer is now off on holiday for 2 weeks and nobody is bothering in her absence either. I know they have a difficult job and a stolen dog is not high on their priorities ... but we feel really let down by them and the message we have got is that it is perfectly ok to break into people's homes and steal their pets as the Police don't waste their time and resources investigating, feeling pretty disillusioned.'

- Re the potential sighting of Paddy in Northwood HA6 last night . I had a look round last night but didn't see anything ,will be speaking to DW etc this morning to see if any dogs have been taken in overnight & vets or Dog Wardens called to collect. Paddy is chipped :-) so hopefully the usual process will run smoothly if this is the case, hoping it is.

- The stolen and lost should both be shown together on the main listing but was not and this is being altered by the programmer- and now done!!
.There was no intention of a separate section but the ability to have option of stolen or missing.
The status was changed back by head office when alerts went out but will be changed back at owners request . - 2016-05-03 23:06 Skywalker99
- Can admin send alerts to the area he may have been spotted?

- **UPDATE Just now from the owner - ***Update - just had a call from somebody who thinks they may have spotted Paddy - he was wandering around Eastbury Road, Northwood (near Pinner/Watford area). He got as far as Frithwood Avenue and then walked back in the direction of Northwood. He didn't have a collar on but matched Paddy's description. Anyone in that area please keep a look out and let us know. Call my husband on 07901978910 ***
- 2016-05-03 19:20 Angel
- I'm confused by the separate 'stolen' section. I didn't know there was one? I was looking for a dog earlier in the lost section and it wasn't there so assumed it had been reunited. Found out later that it had been moved to stolen. But, there is no Stolen header across the top of the page, only Lost, Found and Reunited. I did eventually notice a small piece of text on the left hand side of the page that said Stolen Dogs, clicked on that and a whole load of dogs came up that I hadn't been aware of, as only been looking in the Lost section. Do we need a section for Stolen and Lost? If they're missing they're missing. Maybe an option to click Stolen in the Lost section would be better?
- 2016-05-03 19:08 Skywalker99
- I hope this isn't because the police won't issue anything other than an incident number...dogs don't undo their own collars!

- I hope if there is cctv of these horrible people that it can be published quickly...and not take the 6-8 weeks it took for Jessie in Croydon. I don't think it matters if cctv doesn't show faces clearly...things like dress, build, movement may all help them be recognised. Hope Paddy is found soon.

- More info on the Tesco Express from Linda x "its the Tesco Express on Jackson Road, Aylesbury. We have kept the police updated so hopefully they will check the CCTV - we are also contacting Tesco ourselves today just in case the police dont. Thanks everyone and please keep looking. We want Paddy back so much - he is a big part of our family and the kids are devastated x"

- Here is the info posted by Linda on FB detailing the circumstances in which Paddy was stolen x "Two young white men (caught by next door CCTV) attempted to break into our home in the early hours of this morning whilst we were out. They didn't get in but our little dog Paddy obviously heard them and went out through his dog flap to investigate and they stole him. His collar was found in the car park of Tesco Express this afternoon - it had been undone so the thieves clearly have removed it. We are all so upset - our kids are devastated. I know this is a long shot but if you could please share this post and Paddy's photo in case anybody hears of a cairn terrier being offered for sale."

- We believe the dog has been stolen ... his collar has been found nearby and it has been removed rather than fallen off. We had an attempted burglary last night and we believe Paddy went to investigate using his dog flap and the thieves then stole him. Please help if you can ... very upset children.
