- Gary, fyi, there is another Border boy (says chipped)gone missing on the 27th June in Stevenage. Looks remarkably like your boy (maybe a bit more black to coat) so you may receive sightings of this one.

- Just read this on FB:
Dog Theft Awareness County Durham
***NUMBER OF DOGS LET LOOSE FROM TRUCK 11.30AM LAST NIGHT - LAST SEEN MELROSE AREA - BISHOP AUCKLAND***
At 11.30pm last night there was about 5 or 6 dogs dumped out of the back of a small pick up truck in St Helens. All different breeds. I've been out looking for about an hour but haven't been able to spot them since they left my cul de sac. Police have been notified
One was whippet looking, Sandy coloured, there was a large long hair dog black and tan, and other 4 looked like mixed terriers. With our street lights I couldn't get a good look. I phoned the police then went out looking for them. Kept spotting them in the distance but they were away by the time I got to them - It was a small pick up truck with a drop down back. I heard I bang and looked out the window. It must of been when he dropped the back to let them out. Then he flew out the street and just left them - I last saw them in Melrose area. Think they may have got into the fields from there cos I searched and searched but couldn't find them after that please can everyone look out in this area Ty
SHARING, JUST IN CASE ANYONE HEARS ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS . . . - 2016-05-27 10:04 Baydogs
- That's great Gary. Thank you to that man in Kent who has offered to help.
If the sighted dog IS Ozzy then a few posters in the area will be vital in connecting him with yourself. Even if it isn't Ozzy,if it is a lost dog it still needs help. - 2016-05-27 09:36 Gary
- I have been in contact with a guy who helps with PAW in the local area, he is trying to help with posters/other possible sightings, Chilham in Kent.

Could someone put up a few Ozzy posters?

- several days ago I noticed Becki Anne Jones Baj posted about this missing dog. I messaged her through Facebook but not had a reply. A friend sent me a picture of a similar dog that had been found in Lincolnshire. I does look like an older dog to me albeit the same breed. If you have an email address I could send you the picture. I do not know if this found dog has been claimed though.

- Spent all day yesterday over the field with my spade checking every rabbit/fox hole, no sign whatsoever
- 2016-05-09 12:47 Inkie's Mum
- Most of the posts on FB are assuming he's been picked up / stolen... please don't assume that, do check any rabbit holes he might have gone down - with baby rabbits about, lots of dogs enter holes and get stuck - if he responds to your home doorbell, go back round the area and (phone ringtone etc) a doorbell and listen carefully for any bark or whimper

- Sorry to see that OZZY IN DOGS TODAY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (99915)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
