Sorry to hear he is still missing. Will put posters up at my work. We lost a dog in that area last year but were lucky to find him in a few hours with the help of the local police.
Fingers crossed and I will keep an eye out.

After all this time, it seems that the dog seen in the area is not Boone. His owner has been going there diligently feeding and building up to getting him in the trap, and managed to get a close sighting of the dog, but it is not Boone and nothing like him. Perhaps a GSD cross. Does anyone know of one missing in the area of further afield? The DW is trying to trap this dog now , but snow is hampering everything.

Good luck to everyone concerned, hope you get him soon.

Another recent sighting of Boone not far from where he was last seen. He is being elusive as far as catching him goes, but we are hopeful. Everything is being done that can be. Dog wardens are being helpful. I am in regular contact with Boone's owner and I am informed of the latest news of what is happening.

Keeping my fingers crossed Boone is home real soon. Hope the trap works. Good luck!! xx

Great news - good luck with the trap. Hope it won't be long until Boone is back home safe and sound!

Not seen Boone (yet), I work in TNT just over the road from Asda so I will put a poster up in there as a lot of the guys live in the Ferguslie & local areas.

Thanks Maria. Have contacted owner for an update and also informed them of a similar looking dog in Bothwell. Might not be Boone, but worth checking out.

Sorry, have not seen Boone but my husband works in Menzies, close to where Boone went missing and he is going to tell all the drivers to keep eye out for him. I live in Glenburn, will do some posters for you around Foxbar, Elderslie.

Contacted owner.Everything possible is being done to find Boone. He ran off while on off lead exercise, which is very unlike him, as he is obedient and has been trained well. There have been no sightings for a week now. I hope he is lying low and will show himself soon.Owners are extremely upset.Last edited: 2010-09-05 11:08:31 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Have emailed advice. Sorry to hear that Boone is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. As soon as a photo is added mailings will be sent out to all local helpers who will help in the search for your dog. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
