Thank you, he's getting back to normal life slowly - and enjoying the treats!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Sorry to read on another thread that Dixon is not himself since coming home. This must have been quite a traumatic experience for him especially being an older chap. I'm sure he will adjust again now that he's back with his loving family XXLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news. If he was with someone else, why do these people not just get their own dog as there are thousands needing homes.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well done finder for looking after Dixon, welcome home boy xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
He was found wandering into a house in a nearby village. He still had his collar on with our details, he appears to have been very well looked after - I think whoever had him even bathed him! This enforces my belief that he didn't wander off so be on your guard if you live nearby. He's a little unsettled at the moment but is getting used to being spoilt again. Thank you all once againLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Fantastic news!! How did you get him back?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
********** HE'S BACK ***************** Dixon was found earlier this afternoon in perfect health (in fact cleaner than when he went!) and glad to be home. Thank you all very much for your help, if we can return the help some day we will. Adrian & SarahLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Don't give up hope - Dixon's out there somewhere, just read that a lurcher, who has been missing since 30 Oct has now been returned home. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Great to see you on here Dorsetboy! Please keep us updated with how you get on, you have been very busy! As you can see there are lots of other people out looking for Dixon too, all of whom are busy with postering. Is there any more news on the other dog you told me about??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Sorry, in addition, we have circulated him to the Blackmore Vale magazine and the Western GazetteLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Just to give everybody an update as to what enquiries we have carried out since Dixon went missing. Today, a kind friend of ours is circulating his description amongst 4,000 employees at the nearby RNAS Yeovilton. We have also notified the Dog Wardens of South Somerset DC. Taunton Dene, East Devon, West Dorset,Sedgemoor, as well as the RSPCA at West Hatch, Happy Landings, Ferne Animal Centre, St Giles Animal Centre, Pet Search and the Missing Pets Bureau We have also placed posters in West Camel, Queen Camel, Bridgehampton, Ilchester and IltonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
A big thank you to all of you who are helping us locate Dixon, we know he is out there - but where? Fiona P - In answer to your question, we believe he has been stolen. He has never wandered before and there are no signs of him having escaped. At the moment he has not been reported as 'stolen' to the police, just as 'missing'. We all know that this type of crime is not a high policing priority and we do not wish to compromise his safety.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
I am in the surrounding area of about 10-15 miles from you, so will keep an eye out. Will poster in my area just in case. I hope and pray that your Dixon will be home again soon. Stay safe poppet. Thinking of the owners at this time. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Printed out some posters and will go round with them tomorrow. Are we thinking Dixon was stolen? If so have the police been informed?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Owner has been very active already with leting DW's and local kennels know about Dixon. Now she has a poster to download this will help her get his face known in the neighbourhood and further afield. Please can local helpers assist with this as its a very rural area. Owner will be registering n here soon to let us know how she is getting on. Come home soon Dixon!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
