Don't worry Barb - the local police know me - he he - plus I was shouting Pippy Loo Baby so it definitely wasn't me. Just to put the record straight I wear steel toe caps (very feminine) and Di wears Nike trainers. Like a pair of young gazelles galloping over the meadows we are! I dream of a handbag to dance around instead of packing the pockets of a very old wax jacket that looks like dogs bedding. In fact when I was outside a London station with Mitzi, postering for Buster, I was leaning against a wall taking a breather (having a fag) and someone offered me some money - ha ha. No money wasted in this house on such niceties - my clothes are older than most peoples kids! Going to see Pippy later today so may dress up a bit better - ha ha Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Welcome home PIP well done the finder, it sounds like a good job you are home otherwise those Essex birds would have to result to dancing round there handbags along with the smelly shoes. Katie Diane what a couple of nutters you are by the way the Essex local paper is looking for a couple of women running around the field shouting PIP PIP they was reported by someone walking there dog and it was reported they may have escaped from the local mental home. PLEASE TURN THIS GIRL TO BLUE - YEEEEEEEES PIPPY IS ON HER WAY HOME. Carol (owner) came from hospital to Church Lane to do scenting. Whilst 'doing the do' received a phone call from a man in the cottages saying I think I have your dog! Carol went there and there was Pip! The man had taken 2 hours to coax Pip in and she was in his house. Told you what a good lot the people in the area are. Respect to the Abridge and Ongar Crew - he he.x Pip has lost some weight but other than that seems OK. Carol is taking Pip to the vets tomorrow for a check up, to be chipped and getting a new collar and tag. Carol & Jeff can't thank everyone enough and Carol said when she is feeling better she will be a Dog Lost Helper. They are really good people and did everything they could (even with ill health) to get their elderly little one home. Di & I will be going back on Wednesday to Abridge/Ongar to take posters down and let everyone know Pip has been found. We are then hoping to pop in to visit little Pip so watch this space for a reunited photo. I'm sure we will all sleep better tonight. Stay safe now little Pip (can't wait to meet you, you little gadabout).xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Right - sightings as follows 13/04/08 Retreat Way, 17/04/08 Bottom of Church Lane/Ongar Rd, 20/04/08 10am, 3pm, 7pm Top of Church Lane (opp Church), Today 9am Roundabout Abridge/Ongar Rd, today 10am Oaks Farm Ongar Rd. WE HAVE OUR TRIANGLE! (Church Lane/Ongar Rd/Roundabout). The people today have been 'proper'. Very good community (like it used to be in the 50's & 60's) and everyone passed the word, let us on their land etc. - top people (and all dog owners). We walked the fields calling and looking but didn't see her (bet she saw us tho). Flyered all the properties we could find and went to Chalet Kennels. We have left pilchards and cooked sausages with a chap at the top of Church Lane as we are sure Pip will be back there (they fed her yesterday) and there were 3 sightings. Went down to the aerodrome and postered and flyered (thought some of the light aircraft may spot her). Postered and flyered as much as we could but are hoping to get back there Wednesday. Loads of open ground so like a needle in a haystack but we are very lucky with the people as they will do their best to help. Stay safe Pippy (and go and see Milo, Badger and the Husky boy). Off to pick buck shot outta my butt now!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner had a telephone call from Collier Row re a found dog. Wasn't Pip but was a white JRT bitch about 2 years old. Possibly recently had pups. Will try and get some more details for found section. Owner has some friends coming across to help poster on Weds. She is going to investigate how much it will cost to get the local sorting offices (Crow Lane & Ilford) to deliver flyers to every house. They have been to Battersea again and a member of the family will be visiting all the local rescues. Some posters have been taken down but we are not sure yet if this is local authority. Stay safe Pip girl - hopefully not too long until you are home safely.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There are two ways Pip could have got to Retreat Way - the first is down Tomswood Hill (large junction at Fairlop Oak area with shops and people) and via Forest Rd (Fairlop Station, various industrial estates) & Romford Rd (big dual carriageway where these two meet and also all the way down to Retreat Way) and I'm sure she would have been seen as about 4 miles in total. The other and a more safer option is across to and up Fencepiece Rd and then right along Manor Rd, Lambourne Rd crossing at the junction with Romford Rd to the Maypole pub then Retreat Way (about 2.5 miles in total). It's more residential the second way and she could have been overlooked. Don't know why but I have agut feeling she has gone the second way so think posters need to be in the whole rectangle (plus more at of the top of the Forest) in case she is making her way back. I'd overlooked the 2nd way so will try and sort out some posters but won't be able to get there until early next week (no transport). OWNERS DO NOT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS so once again PLEASE any help would be greatly appreciated. Stay safe little Pip (I can't stop thinking about you).xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

URGENT - Any helpers that are postering please can you post. Both owners suffer from serious health problems and we urgently need extra help on the ground. RnS & I are going to try to get there tomorrow (depending on childcare) or Friday. Owners are people that had really helped animals in the past (and still do) and desperately need our support. If anyone has a fax machine I can email a contact list as getting some faxes out really help. We also need some PR support please for local press or radio. This is a Titania begging mode as owners are doing loads more than a lot of more able bodied owners and Pip is an elderly dog that is badly missed. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP US.x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Really need local helpers on this one, owner has health problems so is limited on what she can do poster wise. If you are in the area and can put up any posters, even just a couple, it really would be a great help. Pip escaped from her home in Stallham Way, Tomswood Hill. She is then believed to have made her way up Forest Road. On Sat (12th) morn she was seen near the Maypole pub at around 7am and then the last sighting was Sun evening in Retreat Way, nr Lambourne End where she ran to a lady walking her own dog and tried to play with the dog. She came from the direction of a walkway that leads into Hainault Forest but when she ran off from the lady with the dog it was away from the forest and ran out of Retreat Way. Owner has alerted the Forest Rangers in Hainault, she's also contacted Epping, Redbridge and Harlow Councils as well as Battersea, PDSA, RSPCA, Vets and some Neighbourhood Watch teams. Owners have only recently (4wks) moved into current house from which Pip escaped, before this they lived in Barkingside so she could double back and head that way - owners have been to check this area also. Please any help on this one would be great......even if you're not local and can spare a bit of time to email out her poster to local contacts etc it would all help (owner doesn't have a computer) and hopefully lead to getting little Pip home. Thanks everyone! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

the new numbers for redbridge for strays are 02085545000 and out of hours you have to call the town hall on 02084783020. These are the numbers for people who have found stray dogs so they will also know what dogs they have taken in.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
