  • Other Info Large dirty golden retriever seen on Lavenham airfield that's been there over 2 weeks. I'd been told about it as I live next to the airfield but until today not seen it, 2 of my dogs went right up to it its friendly, but although I tried to tempt it with treats I couldn't get closer than about 50 yards. I spoke to a farm worker who said he had been trying to catch it, they could get close in a car but not on foot. RSPCA, council and dog warden informed but not interested.

Today I caught the dog, called Max. Turns out the owners work the other side of the airfield to where I caught him and thought it ok to let him wander the whole airfield. Left him with parish dog warden who called owners.

Both myself and another person that seen the dog are sure it's a golden retriever and not missy Pirry.

This group on Facebook is the Find Pirry page sharing information - https://www.facebook.com/groups/155855758683625/

It may be useful to see if it is him. I work for the group who brought him over from Spain in September.

A comment on FB asks if this found/sighted dog could possibly be Pirry ~ Here's the link to Pirry's page https://doglost.co.uk/pet/134699

Thank you Carolynl but I've not seen the dog since Friday, I've set up a feeding station in the hope it will keep returning to same spot. As you know the airfield is vast, but it's been sighted by lots of dog walkers. Drove round as much as I could but no sight this morning.

I'm Lavenham area...can't do anything at moment as home alone with 3 boys but if there's anything I can do later? If he/she's not caught? Can share to sites but don't want to get lots of people coming up and then he/she gets scaredLast edited: 2019-03-16 11:23:39 by Carolynl
