So pleased to read today's update on the Go Fund Me page. Seems that Shadow is making good progress though will be needing surgery on his leg next week. It is fantastic his will to live & also great that so many have donated but there is a way to go yet to meet all the vet costs. Hopefully the target will be reached soon as it must be stressful enough worrying about Shadow without the burden of heavy debt as well.

I’ve been following your Shadows progress. Just happened to be camping in eype and went to the beach when I saw your boy just after he had been rescued. Poor boy
looked in a sorry state, but how amazing
he managed to survive that length of time and is safely back where he belongs.
I wish him a speedy recovery and will try and donate on your go fund me. Michelle

Today's update,

SHADOW UPDATE 🐾

Morning! Shadow has survived the night and is looking brighter!
He has managed to wee (positive as his kidneys working ok) and is showing signs of being hungry but still needs the feeding tube and drip as obviously. I'll have a visit with him at 4pm and we'll get to see what the vet removed and discuss his leg. His x-rays are being look over by specialist and we should know more later.

The extra photo now uploaded (refresh page if nessessary) shows how much weight Shadow has lost during his ordeal, approximately 10kg.
Shadow has had a two and a half hour op today to remove sticks, stones and bones from his stomach, without this surgery he would not have survived. He is now on a fluids drip and has a feed tube, he has been such a fighter to have survived 45 days on the cliff ledges everyone is praying he keeps fighting.
His broken leg will be treated when he has regained his strength.
As the vet bills are expected to be around £3000. He has no pet insurance to cover this so friends of his family have set up Go Fund Me to help cover the costs. The link is below for anyone wishing to help.

So very pleased to see that Shadow is back with his family...you must be over the moon; and who could blame you! Our baby has been found alive roaming Eype Beach. Very skinny and nervous but recognised husband. Suspected broken leg, vets seeing him tomorrow. Thank you all for your help xx

We are following up all possible sightings, the latest being a very similar dog seen being walked by a young family in West Moores, hence alerts being emailed to owners in the BH area. If anyone knows who the family could be please call us either on the poster number or DogLost on 08448003220. We would like to rule this sighting out if it is a a genuine local dog. All calls are confidential.

Still no news of Shadow, I have seen a post suggesting the 2 people seen putting a similar dog into a car at Seatown lot long after he went missing were possibly seen again over the weekend at West Bay.
These people may well be genuine owners of a similar dog but if anyone knows who they are please contact the owner so that they can be ruled out. They could be on holiday in the area.

Coastguards have helped with the search but found nothing. Several small boats fish along the coast too.

Due to information regarding two ladies seen putting a wrinkled dog in the back of a car on Thursday at Seatown beach carpark in front of the Anchor Inn. Shadow has now been reported as Stolen. Thank you for all the kind comments and support. It means a lot to us xx
