I can’t take any credit for Beau being reunited - I was merely the chauffeur 🙂

Sharon was absolutely amazing and managed to catch her by hand.

I can’t thank all the locals who have helped enough. Specifically Sue and her doggy group members, and PCSO Mark who went above and beyond.

Thanks everyone x

Beau was found by our DogLost rep called Sharon. Believe it or not she made friends with Sharon's Lurcher dog who was in the back garden. So she didn't stray too far from Derry Hill. She was found about 1/2 mile away. Although she has lost weight she is not injured and is still fit and healthy. I will take her to her vet tomorrow to get her double checked. Thank you to everyone who have supported us in the search for her. Many thanks to Mandy and Sharon from DogLost.

Have you got her - we had a message sent to Calne News this morning from Lansdowne Arms saying she was in the village rec by the goal posts ? So sorry we only just saw the message

Just took 2 dogs Beau plays with in John Coles up round the golden gates and out the other end, down to the green and around some of the nearby paths and roads. Hoping that the scent of a familiar dog would encourage her out. No sign of her. It was good to see that there are a good number of posters and other dog walkers are aware of her.
If anyone is able to organise permission to go to the private areas in Bowood to search, I'm sure many of her other doggy friends would make the trip up.
POMPOM
We will keep our eyes open in Sandy Lane, just a note, our dog also named Bo went missing a few months back, he was found by horse riders around 40 hours after vanishing much further away than we thought possible (he is 17 and doddery) but when you have put posters up, keep checking they are still up, when I went back to take ours down, nearly all of them had been ripped down and left on the floor, not the wind as they were well fixed up, some not very nice people around. Very best of luck finding your Bo.

PLEASE READ: If you think you have seen her please: a) DO NOT CALL OUT OR CHASE JUST WALK AWAY QUIETLY b) Phone/ text us with time and location.Photo if possible. c) Come back later to leave some food and water so she will stay in area. She is nervous of people and we don't want her to run away out of the area by noise or being followed/chased. Also if searching don't call out her name but just walk as normal. The last definite sighting was the Derry Hill village green and possible sightings after are Hill Corner Road, Chippenham.

On 12/07/2019 at 16:00hrs, search conducted of Tytherton Lucas, East Tytherton, Bremhill, Bencroft, Stanley to Studley. Bowood Estate (Speaking with Estate Manager who has advised his staff), Derry Hill to home address also checked.

Unfortunately still no sign of her.

message sent out on the Wiltshire Police Community Messaging system with a poster attached.
Chippenham Boarder
Please Note: No posters were seen around John Coles Park - a Local Boarder has spoken to quite a few walkers there and none were aware of this missing dog until now.
Chippenham Boarder
Shared with local Dog Boarders (20 or so) in Chippenham and Derry Hill area (many of whom walk around the area she was lost and where she usually lives) - if a search is being coordinated please advise so I can ask if any are able to lend a hand.

Might be worth giving Bath cats and dogs home a call. Mine was missing 4 days, dog warden informed immediately and contacted subsequently. Dog had been taken to BDACH within an hour of going missing - by the dog warden! They had no record. That was also in the Bowood/Derry Hill area
DogLostMandy (Wiltshire)
Possible sighting 5pm Wednesday evening - Hill Corner Road, Chippenham.

Jill and Laurence will contact the person for more details and make everyone on the Chippenham side aware.
Laurence
We have posters up on the Golden Gate walk where a lot of Derry Hill walkers take there dogs. I think we have postered the pub and village shoop now but will check tomorrow. I have started postering Chippenham (car parks and Joules) and around John Coles park. Also started on areas immediately adjacents to Derry Hill - so far just Studley.
Laurence
We have reported to the dog warden (via the council call centre passing on the message) and alerted the bowood estate (spoke to estate mamager -Sarah). We have contacted a few local vets. If she turns up/sighted etc I will update this site very quickly so if no posts please assume dog status remains missing.
Laurence
Thank you to everyone helping. There has still been no sigtings since the last sigting outside our house in Derry Hill village shortly after the escape. I've tried a few midnight late nigth BBQs out side the house and on the green but no sign. We have alerted the street in Chippenham where she lives near to John Coles park in case she finds her way home.
PCSO Mark Cook
Another patrol around the area at 20:00hrs this evening. Unfortunately no sign of her. I will try again tomorrow.
Joan
Wonderful that Mark the local PCSO is able to help and has access to areas that other volunteers wouldn't be able to search.
DogLostMandy (Wiltshire)
Thank you so much Mark, we are most grateful 🙂

We have left voicemail and FB messages with the sitters, but as yet have had no reply. Hopefully that means good news, but obviously we can’t be sure.

I’ve also contacted the dog warden, but as yet no reply.
PCSO Mark Cook
Appeal posted on the Calne Police Facebook Page. I have also searched in the Derry Hill area and completed a drive-through of the Bowood estate (where the public can not access). I will do this again this evening before it gets dark. Regards PCSO Mark Cook

I was in Derry Hill this afternoon, no posters up, some prime locations to poster in village, the school, shop, golf course walk etc. I popped into pub, again no posters, the lady knew of Bo but sadly only of the initial sighting. Any updates appreciated. I understand Bowood estate aware. I'm hoping to have posters printed later this evening so can pop up tomorrow after work.
DogLostMandy (Wiltshire)
Could we have an update please.

Is she still missing?

Poster's are vital to raise awareness and get sightings in from people not on social media/internet. Poster at pedestrian junctions whether they be urban footways or rural footpaths and bridleways.

How energetic is she ?
How much time has she spent at Derry Hill ?
Laurence
She went missing away from home in Derry Hill Village. Her home is 4 miles away in Chippenham near Hardenhuish School
