So pleased to see this little girl has a new home. I would have hated to see anything happen to her. Enjoy your new family sweetheart xx
Unknown
NickyB That is wonderful news. And thanks for letting us know:-) Have a fantastic life in your new home. No more being used like a breeding machine:-) Thanks to her new owners for taking this lovely girl on. You are STARS****
NickyB
phoned acorn kennels today. they say they rehomed her on friday
Joan
DSR/ KerryLou992, is this little one now safely with you?
Unknown
How is this girl please? How kind of you Marbie to offer to foster her.
Marbie
I have only just seen this post and it is now Friday. Please God this little one has not been euthanised and if she needs a long term foster home I would be willing to take her. How would I know? xx
Bo
NickiB - I’m aware of the stray dogs / council DW and contracted services thanks. Cheshire West and Chester have an anti-euthanasia stance in relation to their re-homing policy. Acorn Kennels will comply with the councils wishes.
NickyB
gillyp unfortunately the photo on here does make the feet look a lot lighter BUT I SAW THE DOG AT MY VETS. I TOOK THE PHOTOS and she has no white on her at all - all her markings where not black ARE RICH DARK TAN - all of them
Unknown
Well lighter than 120906 anyway
NickyB
gillyp this little dogs feet are not white - all her feet and all the other bits not black are a rich tan brown - the colour of the patch on her chest in the photo is the true colour of her 4 feet and other brown bits. am away a few days tomorrow and am hoping DiamondsSpanielRescue will be taking her
Unknown
Lost dog 120906 has no white on her front paws. And this is defo not a KCSLast edited: 2019-08-21 22:06:03

private individuals apply for the council contract. to be successful they need kennels full all the time. councils pay to house strays broought in by council dog wardens for 7 days
NickyB
on the 8th day at all kennels the dogs are "gifted" to the kennels who can then do anything, i mean anything, with the dogs - some lucky dogs with dogloving kennel owners are taken in by rescue organisations. 1 of mine we heard her time was up and we rang kennels and immediately went to get her - they asked no questions at all and did not ask for money either
Bo
Kerrylou, are you saying Acorn kennels act independently from the council?
KerryLou992
Bo, the council is one thing. Acorn Kennels is sadly another.
NickyB
lost dog hollie 120906 looks very similar. left mssg on her page and rung the number on her page but phone number no longer in use

I rarely compliment councils regarding stray dogs.
The council in this area are OUTSTANDING with regards to the stray dogs found in their area https://www.yourwestcheshire.co.uk/NewsArticle/%7BD8E8523D-F6DE-4E2F-8B9C-0CC1A4847D0A%7D.
“Cheshire West and Chester Council has been recognised in the 2018 RSPCA PawPrint Awards, picking up a Gold accolade for the seventh year in a row.

The Council scooped the Gold Community Animal Welfare Footprint (CAWF) Award for exceeding legal requirements in the way it handles stray dogs. The Awards celebrate local authorities that go above and beyond to ensure high animal welfare standards in their communities.”

They will have this dogs best interests at heart with any decisions made.

HELP tomorrow thursday council vet to decide this little dogs fate BUT STILL DOGLOST HAVE NOT PUT HER PHOTO ON HERE i sent it tuesday morning
Carolynl
Thankyou for that NickyB...it was just worth checking - (part of me was hoping, but part not - think people will understand what I mean) ...just hope Ruby is reunited safely soon and this little lady finds a loving home where she will continue being treated with the love and kindness she deserves, as she has now - just hope not having her babies with her will hamper her recovery through pining for them...just hope they are safely in loving homes (although I'm not convinced), wish you all the best little lady throughout your continuing journey xLast edited: 2019-08-20 21:24:45 by Carolynl
NickyB
rubys owner lost dog 119312 has sent me photo of missing ruby but although very similar sadly not ruby. DOGLOST PLEASE UPLOAD MY PHOTO SENT YESTERDAY MORNING
NickyB
CAROLYN I HAVE LEFT VOICE MAIL AND TXT AND MSSG ON DOGLOST FOR 119312. I TOOK PHOTOS OF FOUND DOG HANDED IN AT MY VETS - LOOKS REMARKABLY SIMILAR. JUST WAITING FOR OWNER TO RING OR TXT ME. BELIEVED TO BE LEFT BEHIND BY TRAVELLERS..... BEEN TO DESERTED SITE BUT DIDNT FIND ANY PUPPIES....
Carolynl
I looked on here in regards to missing Sophie, as recalled she had some black colouring, but too young and wrong colouring, but whilst looking, and although I could be way off here, going by KerryLou992/Joan have mentioned regarding age - dl119312 is missing black & tan - microchip unknown? Is it possible? Like I said I could be way off but felt I couldn't leave it...very sad for this little lady who hopefully will pull through to find some love - it's awful to think about the puppies too (police involvement? Just in case any other poor dogs are in vicinity - esp if this poor little one has been with puppy farm?) x
NickyB
thank heavens for doglost - i put these details and hoped someone could help - and the lovely DSR appeared. have spoken to them to offer pay for vet bills. i saw the dog myself at my vets - clearly neglected and had dry eye and from tummy many pregnancies - so hope vet at the council kennels gives her a clear bill of health. have no idea where she was found so have no idea what happened to any puppies she clearly recently has had. her chip is useless as its never been registered!

Thank you Debbie123
and KerryLou992. So pleased she has been offered a rescue place. Happy she will be in good hands now. Sending her lots of gentle ((((HUGS))) and love. And absent healing for her recovery. As for the scum who treated you like a breeding machine "BURN IN HELL" Hope the person responsible for this will be caught (Probably won`t be ) will be prevented from treating other dogs like this) If If it was up to me., I would lock you up, and throw the key away. You will get your comeuppance. Hope it`s sooner rather than later. Remember Karma. Keep us postedLast edited: 2019-08-19 18:03:05
Joan
KerryLou992, I do hope she is given the chance to recover......hope the vet's assessment is more positive in the knowledge that you have a foster placement lined up for her. Joan
KerryLou992
Hi Joan, we were made aware of a lactating tan cocker spaniel, potential cross the other day in the vets. We tried to ring and offer a 28 day retainer with one of our fosterers so she was safe and being looked after. The dog warden collected her and took her to Acorn Kennels. We rang and offered help but was told our services were not required :(

Then we get informed of this girl, who sounds similar apart from the age, the dog in question was estimated at over 3 years old, but no where near 10 years old. Age is irrelevant to us, we can't see her being put down :(
Joan
Bless you, DSR, for offering this poor girl a rescue placement. She could be much younger than 10, just not fed properly and kept in appalling conditions churning out litter after litter. I do hope she is given the chance to be nursed back to good health so she can enjoy her last years being loved and cared for. Is it possible she's one of the older missing/stolen dogs on this site......Last edited: 2019-08-19 15:44:49 by Joan
Debbie123
Phone call has been made and rescue place offered - she’s in a bad way though needs to see vet first
KerryLou992
Hi, I help to run Diamond's Spaniel Rescue (DSR) - She is currently in Acorn Kennels and she is waiting to see a vet. We have offered a rescue placement. We've been told to call back on Friday after she has seen the vet.
Debbie123
They will have been sold on via one of those hideous sites - I’ve sent details to a spaniel rescue hoping they can help her

Can anyone help this poor dog? Seems as though this poor mite has been bred to have many litters, for money. Am willing to donate toward her care.
