Darcey is home safe and well after being found in a garden. The very kind house owner saw Darcey in her garden and followed all advice and rang Lisa the owner straight away. Darcey kept them on their toes by jumping over a 6ft fence then deciding to come back where they were able to gain her confidence and coax her into the house. A huge thank you to Everyone that helped in the search and followed our advice. There is a photo of Darcey happy back at home on our Dog Lost Devon Facebook page.

Our local paper has printed a very useful article today emphasising the same important message as below.https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/plymouth-news/urgent-appeal-after-missing-dog-3507353 Hopefully this poor little mite will be found very soon - she must be so cold, wet, hungry and frightened (after Bonfire Night too). I just pray she stays well clear of the A38 i the meantime.

That must be so distressing for Darcey's owner to know that she is trying to get home but then being driven away. It is also puting Darcey's life at risk, the longer she is out the higher the risk of accidents on the roads.
Please only report sightings direct to her owner.

Some more sightings this morning. One was very close to where she lives, just ten minutes away but sadly yet more posts went up on social media and the usual 'I'm on my way' posts were seen, a while later another sighting was posted and she had been seen much further away from home. Again can we please ask for sightings not to be posted on social media and for sightings to only be phoned in to the owner. This is two days running that we know for sure people have rushed to the area after a sighting has been posted.
This dog is on the run she needs to settle, as long as people keep flooding to the area where she is sighted she will keep running. We keep repeating ourselves to keep this dog safe not because we want to catch this dog, Dog Lost have no interest in catching Darcey, that is for the owner to do and only the owner to do, we would much rather Darcey find her own way home which is what she was doing very well herself or get her owner to where she is sighted because the owner is the only person who has any chance at all to catch a dog that is as scared as 'feral' as Darcey is now.

Thanks for the updates. Hoping Darcy is home safe soon.

Thanks to continued reported sightings it definitely looks like Darcey is trying to retrace her steps and make her way home. DogLost is working closely with Darceys owner to monitor her movements. We ask everyone to continue to report any sightings directly to the owner on 07952342825 who is updating us. If you cannot get through on this number you can ring our main number. This would be the Crownhill area, Tamerton Foliot area and Whitleigh areas please. DO NOT CHASE, FOLLOW AT A SAFE DISTANCE IF POSSIBLE AND WHEN RINGING THE OWNER PLEASE SAY WHAT DIRECTION SHE WAS GOING AND ROAD SHE WAS ON PLEASE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED HELP.

Quirky we have put out appeals and asked several times on local Facebook groups for people not to rush to area when the dog is seen and not to chase because this moves Darcey on and we need her to settle but sadly people won’t listen. We have had this time and time again, and we can only advise the owner why we advise this and ask that sightings are not made public on social media to protect Darcey from being chased on to give her time to settle. We understand people have kind hearts and want to help and the best way they can do that is to ring sightings in and not chase and prevent any type of media circus to give the owner a chance of catching Darcey in a safe manner.

Dog Lost volunteers have been out all weekend spotting for Darcey and are in constant contact with her owner regarding sightings. ALL sightings must be reported back to her owner or if she isn’t contactable you can ring our main number immediately that you spot Darcey please. Do not chase but follow if possible at a safe distance and when you call in please give the details of the direction she has gone in and any street names. If possible wait for the owner to arrive to show her exactly where you saw Darcey go. Please do not post sightings here or on our Devon group Facebook page because we don’t constantly monitor social media when working with owners.

General advice emailed, please do not call, chase or try to catch. Darcey is very frightened and needs to find a safe place to settle.

Poor little Darcey, she mist be petrified...unfortunately people don't always take notice no matter how much told/asked not to - they want to be the one that 'did it'or they are wary of fireworks happening and just want her safe but while they think they're 'doing good' unfortunately it's the opposite.
Please stay safe Darcey, until you can be helped the right way x Thoughts are with you & owner...Good Luck x

I am following posts on Facebook about this little dog as one of my friends lives in the area and had shared and it seems the poor little thing is being chased and it is a bit of a circus in the area at the moment. Is anyone able to sort this out before something happens to the dog? Feel awful just watching the posts and not being able to help. Doesn't seem to be anyone 'in charge' so to speak... bit of a free for all. Hopefully someone can help. Poor dog must be terrified.
