Yes, Oliver could have been stolen; it happens. I would post a LOST THERAPY CAT ad in a National newspaper, and ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as Dl. Twitter too. He may not be too far away. A cat posted on here as missing for FOUR MONTHS only recently was found not far from his home; once again someone has been hiding him in their house. Noe reunited. So keep vigilant.

Maybe someone has him in their house, and is hiding him? I have known this happen until the cat napper saw the owner searching, and returned the cat. Another cat posted as missing for THREE MONTHS (Microchipped) was found by the owners brother only ten minutes from his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day. Another cat posted as missing for SIX MOMTHS (And microchipped) had decided to move in with an elderly lady but when the lady passed away he was reunited with his owner via his microchip. Odd the dogs didn`t pick up any scent, unless rain could have washed his scent away, or could he have climbed into a vehicle, and could be anywhere? Perhaps Molly, and her owner where in lockdown when you contacted them? And of course sometimes a microchip can slip. In fact a radio presenter`s cat`s "Chip" actually fell out. My best guess is that someone has Oliver. So keep vigilant. You could always try Molly again. And maybe post in ALL AREAS. (People could post in their area) And keep checking selling sites, as I will. Paws, and fingers xd.
Missing Cat
Thank you for everyone’s comments. I only just read them as they went to my junk mail for some reason.
Thank you for the suggestions. We had professional sniffer dogs out in the early days to detect if he was lost/trapped/hurt/deceased. This was the contact via Animal Search UK who works for the police. I could not get in contact with a pet detectives for Molly as they were not operating at the time. The dogs they were used, did not find anything.
We have been in local newspapers in the early days too and I’m speaking to a reporter again on Thursday. We were also on BBC News after reuniting a cat missing more than 7yrs through our posters. But I have also recently written to This Morning ITV. I await hearing from them,
We are doing all we can.
Today the reward was increased significantly also - it now is £2,500. Hopefully this will leaf to more people coming forward etc.
Thank you again to everyone. I don’t know how to reply individually. But please, if you’re on Fb join his group (Oliver - Missing Clayton-le-Woods Chorley Lancs) - message me through there if you can.

Assume no sightings. I would now contact Colin Butcher (Ex police detective in Surrey where he still resides. He owns a black Cocker Spaniel named Molly, who has been specially trained at a dog Detective school to find missing cats. However I am aware that he is a long way from you, but apparently is willing to give advice over the phone. Also he has pol contacts with other police forces over the UK So maybe worth contacting him. Hid email info@thepetdetectives.com Phone 01403 753 463. He has had much success finding missing/stolen cats . and dogs. Worth a try!Last edited: 2021-01-12 20:49:22

Please follow ALL the RELEVANT advice/tips on Hedwig`s post. His page no. is 158726. You will find them by googling his name, and page no. Plus sometimes a person will take a fancy to someone`s cat, and try to hide it in their house. (And he is an attractive cat) I have known this happen until the catnapper saw the owner and returned the cat. So keep vigilant; just in case. Paws xd.
