Oh no! Was so hoping Patch would pull thrpugh. What evil piece/s of scum to do this to a dcefenceless animal. And what a conttrast to those guys who risked their own lives to save several dogs from a fire at Manchester Dogs home? Carolyn1 Justice MUST be done: not seem to be done. The way I`m feeling now I feel like throwing the culprit`s over a cliff. The peoblen is with the Uk we are far too soft on crime. Remember Karma. I hope we can get justice for Patch. Today’s update
“ Hi everyone so sorry I haven't personally updated for a few days, it was my first day at college today so I've had some assignments that needed completing.
Patch is still fighting and holding his own, the vets are happy with how he is doing so far. He will be going under anaesthetic this afternoon for his dressing changed again, at which point the vet has asked a specialist Professor to have a look at his wounds in order to discuss his skin grafts, and they are discussing the possibility of stretching his skin to close the wound some. No more blood transfusions have been needed yet, but they will check his blood count again this afternoon.
Again I just want to thank you all, you are all being so wonderful and supportive it really does mean so much to myself and my family.

Today’s update Update 20/09
Patch has had blood transfusion and the vets have spent time consulting to ensure the medication he is receiving for his pain is right. All of the skin on his stomach has had to be removed and he is undergoing an operation today to remove some dead fat and to get the granulation ready for his skin grafts.
Patch did manage to get up himself and walked outside for a wee.

Today’s update (Saturday 19th Sept ) - 6 days after the horrendous cruelty inflicted.
“ Thank you once again for your continued support, which has allowed Patch the opportunity to receive the treatment he is.
Following surgery, he is having his bandages changed twice a day and whilst the vets are still happy with his condition, they are aware this could change at any time. They are currently discussing whether a blood transfusion is needed.
His care and treatment is being assessed daily and the original estimate for his recovery was £10-12k. You have all been so kind and generous and as a result of this, the GoFundMe will close shortly.

Update from his FB page - family member posted the following.

Update on Patch this afternoon 17/09/2020.
Patch has managed eat a bowl of chicken last night and go to the toilet, he is fighting but he is still very high risk. He has burns over 40% of his body and is currently in surgery for one of his many skin grafts.
I will update as regularly as possible. Again we cannot express enough how much we really do appreciate all of you!! 🥰🥰

Louise. I don`t think there are more evil people in the world than good. For example look at all the
lovely people on Doglost who help people whose dogs are missing and give up their time to search for their dogs, even though their own dogs may be missing too. I think the evil people are the minority; not the good.

Absolutely made up for Wendy and Trey that Patch had been found after the callus attack on his Kennel that could easily resulted in him being killed, I truly hope that the perpetrator is caught and brought to justice.

From Patch's Facebook group - he has been found and at the vets - Trey Brindle - Some burns damage to his eye and two cuts on his back end but he walked in the vets himself xx
