Always, always, always check the travellers/gypsy sites! Never go alone but have a hunt around and keep your eyes open. They often hide the dogs, or just the a recently acquired one. I have no idea why they always take so many dogs? They keep a lot and others they ransom. Weird. Anyway, they especially seem to love luchers and whippets, well any dog really. But, they always have a lurcher type. They stole a bulldog from Harlow and he was found by police 10 months later becaus ehe was chipped. Keep trying. xxx Last edited: 2010-09-07 13:12:51 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

hi please see whippet girl just registered as found but un catchable . this little girl is uncatchable but elderly and has a blue name tag , remember if our dogs are stolen they may be dumped if not able to resell unfortunatly remember gypsies are everywhere and only see money if they see your pet dog ! there is a mobile on the listing you could speak to them .
Sorry to here about Sally but stay strong and keep looking. We found our Whippet, Molly, after 7 weeks. They are very resourceful so don't ever give up. Best of luck xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Sally is missing. Will be in touch with some local tel phone numbers and places to contact. Local council dog wardens, vets, kennels etc all need to be notified. Also alert the chip company, at the same time checking all the details they have for your are correct. Then poster like crazy all around the area and beyond. Good luck. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
