Sarah. Have just read this and I do know what you are going through. Some years ago we had to part with our Boxer (Max) because of family illness. It was in the dogs own interest atg the time and his new own ers treated him like a Prince. We never saw him again but the new owners sent us photos of him, which I have to this day. He is long dead now, but I still think of him. I promise you it will get better, but you must think of the dog. Stay safe now Pipx

So glad that we know that Pip is safe and sound, although not the perfect outcome. Hope he doesnt jump any more fences! Will take all the many posters down today xxx

Really sad for you Sarah, you must be so frustrated that his original owners have come forward and taken him back - why they diddnt search for him to start with I will never understand.......i just hope you now get that special dog you are looking for there are so many in rescue looking for forever homes so good luck....

Great news that Pip is safe Sarah even though he's not back with you. I hope his owners are grateful that somebody has been taking care of him and have now sorted his chip info out.
Ellie
Thank goodness Pip has been found safe and well although I know it was not totally the whole news you wanted to hear as his previous owners want to keep him. They must be so pleased that you had taken him in and loved and cared for him so much. I presume all the heavy postering of this afternoon gave you the answers you needed. Stay safe now little Pip
sarah
hi everyone. just to let everyone know that i have just found out that Pip has been found safe and sound. unfortunatly pip was a stray dog when he came to us.we did everything the right way to find out about his owners. we reported him to police, dog rescue centres etc and took him to the vets.he was microchipped but details were not up to date. the vets said we could keep him if no-one claimed him within a certain amount of time. we had all fell in love with him, so were delighted to find out that we could keep him. obviously then we updated microchip details to our name. Pip then jumped the fence after we had him for a while.hence, lookin for pip began! we are really sad that we've not got him, but just so pleased that he is now safe and sound. i dont know how he got there or why they had not bothered to update his details? i would like to give all of u really big thanks for everything you've all done, its been amazing how much people have helped us. you've all been so kind xxxxxxxxxxxxx sarah xxx
Snowdrop
Thanks :) Ive gone a bit over the top with posters this afternoon!! If someone has taken Pip in they wont be able to miss them!! Hopefully we should get some news xxx
B30
Also, Pip is due to get a free advert this week. If he's been published I'll put a message on his page and bump it.
Snowdrop
Thanks Sue, will go out again this afternoon and and put more posters up. Many of them have probably blown down after yesterday! Will poster further away this time xxx
B30
If you've had no recent sightings then someone may have taken him in. Keep him as high profile as possible with posters and keep in touch with all the places who you've contacted to let them know they still need to keep a look out.
Snowdrop

sarah, I will email you some Scenting Instructions and advice on how to behave if you see him. As you say he may well be too scared. He may not recognise you at first so it is important the quiet approach is made. Good luck. Jan x
sarah
thanks again! we actually live opposite where we think hes been seen on highfield street. have told loads of people around us. we have a feelin that hes either over near where st james' church is (on highfield street) or over the fields at the back of there.they lead onto standard hill as well, so it all seems connected to that area. been over loads of times, think he may be too scared at the moment for any contact with anyone xx

Dear Sarah. We received a photo of Pip and really hope you find him soon. We lost our dog over 2 years ago around Market Bosworth and still miss him loads. All the people in this area were brilliant at helping look for him and were so supportive it was amazin. Thinking of you. It's really hard isn't it. Fingers crossed for the sighting. Ffion and Tim
Ellie
Sarah Is he likely to be willing to approach us if we took our friendly dogs walking in the area of Standard Hill or would it make him more likely to run - dont want to risk scaring him
