My thanks must go to the lady who found her who went that extra mile for this little one and also to Sable for her encouragement and help and always being at the end of a phone! Thanks to all who were involved - except the people who dumped this little one.

Do we know if she was re-homed to Ruthcav in the end? I really hope so, as she clearly wanted to give her the loving home she deserves!Last edited: 2011-06-08 12:47:52 by Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum

Thanks for your reply G. It would be so unfair if she was PTS when there is a good and loving home waiting for her. So unfair if she is not given the last chance for love.

unfortunately i cant ensure what the outcome is going to be, in the end it will be the vets decission if she gets passed for rehoming. The best thing to do is give us a call and see if she has arrived with us

Noodlesdarling, I have just spoken to Ruthcav on the phone and she wants this oldie no matter what, to give her a loving end to her life, so can you PLEASE ENSURE that nobody puts her to sleep. Ruth is going to call in the morning first thing to sort it out.
Ruthcav
Many thanks noodlesdarling, the heart problem doesn't surprise me and my vet is an eye specialist. I do appreciate she has medical problems but we are quite prepared to take this old girl on. Hope you will put in a good word for us please with the vet. :-)
noodlesdarling
As far as i know she is coming to us at Lanarkshire arrc (03000 999 999 - option 2 and ask for lanarkshrie) possibly Monday or Tuesday. She will be examined by a vet to check her suitability for rehoming - i'm sure the dog warden said she also has a problem with her heart so we will need to see what the vet says.

Thank you for clarifying noodlesdarling. Will she be taken to Bothwell or Dogs Trust as It seems that there is home waiting for her with Ruthcav?
Ruthcav
Thankyou so much, that is good to know. Is there any chance of you giving me their phone number so we can approach them for a chance to rehome her?
noodlesdarling
meant to add - she will be transferred for rehoming subject to a vet check
noodlesdarling
Just to let everyone know this dog was taken to North Lanarkshire district council stray dog kennels. As far as i am aware she has not been claimed back by her owner and will be transferred for rehoming at the begining of the week

This sounds a bit worrying!! Are you able to try the local council/dog warden tomorrow?
Ruthcav
Have telephoned the number above and spoken to the finder, this old girl has disappeared, nobody seems to know where she is.
pointerlover
This is terrible. One minute she is a loving pet with a home and then dumped because she is getting older by people she trusted!
Ruthcav
Can anyone give me the contact number of where she is being held please? we would like to offer her a home if she isn't claimed.
mumstaxi
its not printable what i think of people who do this, they drive expensive 4x4 someone knows who it is, they are scum, all they need to do is take it to rescue or rspca, they are the lowest of the low and i hope someone follows this up, the poor little thing obviously has health issues, what go around comes around, whoever you are you are so selfish
