hello everyone. i find it very difficult to go onto this site and look at the photo of Bob. I have had no further info from anywhere and the Kilamrnock sighting was a false alarm. I followed it up but although the lady was genuine the dog was sadly not my Bob. I think of him every day and wonder. I miss him terribly and all I have left is hope that miracles still happen. Thank you all.

To let you all know the lastest phone call I had was to say that a man thought ( or was certain) he saw Bob in Fort William on Sunday afternoon. he described the dog but could not give me anything which would make me sure it was Bob. However I contacted the police and dog warden in the town as i had a previous call saying a man had seen him on the ferry just west of Fort william. I put an appeal on the local radio in Ft William. Unfortunately my telephone line which I was using for calls is out of order until tomorrow. if there is anyone in the Fort william area I would be grateful if you would get in touch. 07736040791 ever hopeful Bob's mum

Forgot to say: are there any more details? Was he wearing a collar? Is he neutered? Any distinguishing features? Could you try getting him listed in the Lost Pets column in the local paper? Not sure what the Kilmarnock local is, but here in Ayr we have a free paper with 'PetSearch' - you could try the Ayrshire Post or The Herald.

Am going to Cumnock tonight to take the dog I found to visit a potential new home. I pass Kilmarnock on the way so will take a wee run by the construction sites for the new M77 and any other obvious sites. Do you have a report number from the police so that the local police are able to confirm he is lost/stolen?

Owner has had a call saying a construction team arrived in Killmarnock 5 days ago with a Cocker spaniel-they had come from a job in Skye! Any local helpers can help? Will e mail poster to helpers in this area.

sadly no news of my lovely Bob. My friend and I have posted about 300 posters all over the UK to all independant and registered rescue centres. The Daily Record ( hopefully) will have it in the Help column tomorrow. I have put it in scot ads scotland wide and other Glasgow papers. I'll never stop trying or looking. The reason the owners think he may have been taken to Glasgow is because that week is the Glaswegian holiday week and they all go over to Skye. On Skye they never have had a problem with missing dogs as they are so close knit and know each others dogs.

I'm not sure if this will help you at all but..... I'M DOING A STAND AT THE EMPINGHAM DOG TRAINING CLUBS ANNUAL AGILITY SHOW ON SAT 23RD & SUN 24TH JULY - A HUGE SHOW AT GRANTHAM. Chrismac - we'll do all we can - how did Bob disappear? Why the thought Glaswegians took him? Give us some clues we can think on! Glasgow helpers please poster urgently! Presumably to get to the Isle of Skye (bear with me I only went once... a long time ago) you have to go by ferry or bridge? If ferry - can you check how dogs have to travel? some ferries require pets to be kept separately from the car.. and there might be CCTV? Even Bob might've been taken out the car for exercise at the dock? Someone might have seen something. If they were visitors then presumably someone in Glasgow knows someone who took time off work to go to the Isle - and returned with a new dog - so we need publicity - any idea of the papers? Nik/Daisy - how do you feel about getting the PR wagon rolling???
