On the dragon driving site (a gypsy selling site) is a springer and cocker for sale, both cheap, I would suspect stolen. I thought the black cocker looked like pip, but they have had puppies and I see pip was spayed, so not her.

Thanks Sarah, but Pip is black with white bib and your link was for a black and tan.
Just to let you know that she is still missing and owners would very much like to see her back home.

We live in CM area and will keep our eyes/ears open; my daughter often works in South Woodham and all over CM area I will ask her to pass on Pips information. It goes without saying the more the word is spread and people that know the more likely you are to find Pips

It's a year and a day since Pip was stolen from her family. Posters put up, newspaper articles written, she even has her own Essex Police page, Internet posts everywhere, a reward offered and yet nothing, no word, not a peep. How can this be?

Nothing very positive in this post I'm afraid. 1. Pip was not included in the TV programme :-( :-( 2. I didn't receive any group posters :-( 3. I was hoping to go to The Robin Hood County Show in Brentwood this weekend to poster for Pip but can't make it :-( Is there anyone who can go today? It was very popular yesterday by all accounts and full of dogs. http://www.robinhoodcountryshow.co.uk/essex_show_info.htm

Apparently This morning tv programme have posted this on their website....

This Friday we’re intending to feature an item on missing pets. So if you’ve lost a pet, or think you’ve had one stolen, let us know and we might be able to feature them in our missing pets gallery. Email thismorning@itv.com with some good shots of your missing pet and a few details that might help: when you last saw your pet, any distinguishing marks, habits or characteristics. Maybe it was wearing a particular collar. We need your emails by 5.00pm Thursday the 10th May. http://www.itv.com/thismorning/life/reuniting-lost-pets-with-owners/

Thank you Dreena, you did well. Group poster being emailed to Pip so Colette if you can liaise with Matt and Dreena and anyone else who needs a group poster, maybe Matt can print it off then copy some along with everyone else, as below. Good luck and hope for good news. x
dreena52
Been to Anglian Game Fair at Norwich and put posters at entrances and exits, plus other popular places ie bars and eating areas also several stalls, will be going to Suffolk Game Fair at Glemham next week and will do the same, all for group poster drops if anyone is doing any.

It will be good if this group idea takes off, lots more people to cover a larger area and raising the profile of many dogs, I wish I could help but just too far away. I keep sharing Pip's D L page on Facebook. Fingers crossed.
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
I'm going to email Matt, owners relative who put Pip on site, with a group poster. Dreena, I'm sure if you contact owners they would get some posters for you. Thank you so much for your kind help. I will be sending group poster out to a number of owners and then everyone can contact each other or put posts on site, if they wish to do so. I am including Jackson, Booboo, Alfie, Wayne,(JR X s), Molly Patterdale, and some others, all in Essex postcodes (CM, SS, RM mostly).
Scruffpot
Jane, I have tried ringing you and left a message, but have had no reply :-(
Thank you(and your son)for putting the posters up Daliman. Thank you too Linda, I contacted the seller, but have had no response :-( .
Dreena I have emailed Kimmybear
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Scruffpot is the one to contact Dreena, I'll text her for you. A helper has also advised there is a big fair in Brentwood on 12th & 13th May. I can email any owner/helper a poster of all our missing dogs in that area and if you all want to work together you could cover a lot more ground. You could put flyers on all the cars, give posters to stall holders and hand out flyers to people at whatever event you visit. Apparently this helped get another dog back last year. We need to make waves. If you want to get a "group" poster please text me your email addy and I will send to you. I am also told that there are places in your area that will do a good deal on printing, even if they are black and white, it still gets word out and if you combine the dogs and owners all pay towards the cost this could be a great thing to do. Text for a "group" poster on 0786 7308 672 and I will email you back as soon as I can. x
Linda

Hi! My son put sum posters of Pip around Bury St. Edmunds today :-) I really hope Pip you get found very very soon.

I've rung the contact for Id 38633 dreena52 and it's defo not Pip. It's a chihuahua cross and very tired by the sound of it.
dreena52
There is a small black bitch been found at equestrian centre in Fawkham,Kent. Id 38633. No other details but could be worth a look.
dreena52
It would also be a good idea to target the game fairs around the country which are starting now, in view of the type of dog she is and much sought after, 14/15th BASC gamekeepers fair at Catton Park, 21/22nd Kelmarsh are both good to get flyers etc around I'd any one is going to these, not forgetting the scurry ring, that is a must for posters.. East Anglian at Norwich 28/29th as well
Scruffpot
Have emailed the EDP -asking them to consider publication.

I sell dog biscuits for rescue and have put Pip's details on all my packs in the 'Truly Local' shop in Stalham,Norfolk today, they will be on every box I sell until she is found! It is only a local home-made concern but I am aiming at the holiday market so hopefully this will help spread the word around the country. Stay safe until you are found Pip xxx

My son goes to college at Bury St. Edmunds so is in Bury nearly every day and wen not in college he still goes. I hav just asked him and he says that he don't mind to put sum posters up around nd about the town>

Made a boob in my last post, it is owners friend who is doing a lot of leg work to find Pip on behalf of owners. Also, if anyone in the area knows of a block paving company that was doing work in this area some time before Pip was missing, this may help. Can we ask around or see if anyone has had recent work to obtain details. Thanks.
DogLostXenas Mum - Area Volunteer, Norfolk
dreena52 that is an excellent idea the EDP are pretty good at printing articles for missing dogs.
dreena52
Just a thought, if there are suspicions of her in Suffolk/Norfolk area, put an announcement in our most read papers, the Eastern Daily Press and the East Anglian, Friday is the best day. Anything is worth a try. We just need to get her home.

Is she a working dog, but due to her tail being docked could be passed as one, I suggest the owners put adverts in Shooting Times and shooting Gazett, I live in Norfolk/Suffolk border so have circulated the notice around. Game fairs would be good places to put posters up, there is one in Norwich in a couple of weeks so I will print some out and distribute them. I think the daily papers should be badgered into doing a write up as well. Good luck, let's keep looking

That would be fab Xenas Mum. The Basildon dog warden did a good article recently, maybe that could be sent to a national paper and then the rest of the UK counties could do the same? Major operation but it could be done if a national one came on board. Dogs Today and Your Dog do a few articles, one now, but mass media would be great and I think it needs to be done. Need to generate interest. If we all contact these papers it may spark their interest. I will certainly try myself. Thank you for the vet poster. Very kind. x
DogLostXenas Mum - Area Volunteer, Norfolk
Took a poster into my vet yesterday in Stalham Norfolk. If everyone does the same that will help. Any chance of getting a National Paper (Daily Mail / Sun) to do a Stolen dogs article and put up tots of photos??
DogLostKimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
Having tried to do some investigating, it would appear that a number of missing dogs have been taken out of the counties they were taken from. Remember Cee our boxer, last year? She was taken from Herts and ended up in Norfolk! That also was a white van. Police brought her home after a lead that paid off. So, I think we need to spread Pip's details and all the others from here, far and wide, as Spangles just touched on. We also need to watch for any dogs from elsewhere ending up this way. How about we make that Facebook and Twitter really hot with all our missing dogs and let Pip lead the way - every single person who is on either, let's share and asked to be shared. I'm hoping Pip is just around the corner, but I want to cover all our bases. If we got Cee home, who was unchipped, we can get Pip home and all the rest. So, let'd go folks. x

And to add, have the police been notified and a CRN obtained?

Sorry to see Pip has been stolen....as you have already been advised it is going to be imperitive to make her 'TOO HOT TO HANDLE'.....this is going to take a lot of posters but it will of course obviously be worth it. I am sure you already have but let all the other farmers know. I'll be at a stables yard this evening in Southminster so I'll get some posters printed off and put up there and on the way whereever I can stop. I presume you've postered up around the sites towards Danbury as I presume that's the nearest one to you, albeit that doesn't necessarily mean anything its them! Keep updating this page, it will help engage local helpers and others. I suggest you maybe look to also get some large A3 type posters done - headline info, including photo, that you can put at busy road junctions/r abouts etc maybe on mdf stakes. Put the DogLost website on there clearly too as drivers may not have time/ability to take down a phone number but can always remember DL and look up online later. I will spread the word. You should also try targetting local boot sales if they are runnning atm. Hope your gorgeous girl is home very soon.Last edited: 2012-03-19 12:52:11 by Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex

Yes, we have contacted dog wardens and traveller liason officers in the area as well as putting her on BBC and Essex radio. We are also putting up laminated signs around the area and traveller sites. Hopefully someone will come forward.

Thank you for all your help, it is very much appreciated.

A kind helper has informed me that Pip was on the radio today - confirmed with owner. Pip was on BBC and Essex News. Well done owners. It also sounds like the police are on board. Bumped due to media.

I have just received information that people in a white van are responsible for a number of dog thefts in the Brentwood and CM postcodes. Apparently one dog was taken from the owners and its collar thrown away right in front of them. I do not know any more about this particular dog, but Pip seems to have been stolen by the same people. We do know who operates in this area and so does the police so I would suggest all owners with missing dogs in this Brentwood, Braintree, Wickford area go to the police. This has to be stopped now! However, the police need evidence to act so all of you out there with any information PLEASE report it to the police so they can investigate.

Have posted via FaceBook and will spread the word as not that far away

Been communicating with owner. He is doing well and visiting "sites" and postering. Advised on making Pip too hot to handle. We need to get this beautiful dog home! Any one in the area, did you see a white van any where loitering, watching dogs?

I have a feeling this dog could well have been stolen, as owner suggests. Looking at the area and location of certain groups here and the amount of dogs going missing from this way, it is possible. Owners you need to report this to the police and tell them about the white van. How else could she have got out? Is that possible? If not, then that's probably what's happened. You need to tell the local radio, the local papers, the schools, vets, poster the travellers sites (don't go alone), poster the pubs, poster EVERYWHERE. Make her too hot to handle. You can do this, but you have to work hard. Take at look at Molly's page in the blue tab, ID 32312 - this will give you ideas, okay? Can you think of any other way Pip could have got out? Would she have got out? They usually return if they can. Have a think and see what you come up with. You need to make Pip really, really famous! Let's get your girl home! I'm going to text you. x

Sorry to see that PIP is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (37934)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
