had splinters poster up at the pitsea horse sanctuary where there was a horse show and a lot of interest was shown next week there is a dog show and will be putting posters up again

This is a bit strange, isn't it? Hope this is a genuine one and that Splinter is found safe and sound. As I posted some time ago, if the owner needs any contact names of Collie clubs, etc, then let me know. By the way, is this an actual photo of Splinter, as it is in black and white?

Fantastic news! Another Essex Collie home safe! Maybe my little girl will follow suit and turn up after 41/2 months! So pleased for you all. So Splinter, wher've you been, gorgeous? Today I have spoken to Splinters Mum and Splinter is still missing. There have been no sightings/possible sightings for a couple of weeks now. Apart from widening the search area and keeping him fresh in everyone's minds there isn't much more that can be done. Come home soon Splinter x

Splinters mum - oldies often fare much much better than owners fear. Once whoever has picked up Splinter realises that a rough collie is a high maintenance dog and elderly, he'll be handed over soon enough, i'm sure. Keep putting up posters, emphasise his age and make sure nowhere in Basildon is free of a picture of his face. Contact me if you need to talk to someone... take care. Dee xx
