unfortunately no, really got our hopes up last weekend with some info but unfortunately despite a strong response from friends acting on the info nothing came of it. just feel at my lowest point at the moment, trying to be strong but not managing it very well. i am sending levi,s photo and description to the missing section of your dog magazine as someone told me about this this week and gave me the form to send off.

BUSTER IS NOT LEVI. Have spoke to rescue and they checked when they received your email a few weeks ago (they have a scanner too). Someone did email you back, can only guess it went to wrong address?

I know the rescue and suggested on another board that you should telephone them rather than email. They are extremely busy and I don't think they have the time to check their emails as regularly as they do their phone messages.

thank you all for your continued support levi is dog theft actions dog of the month. also have re emailed a rescue centre regarding a dog called buster that looks like levi, they had said they would check out the dog in more detail but have not heard anything back so emailed again also a couple of people from dog pages have seen the photo of buster and agree that he looks like levi

yes i think hes gorgeous although he looks a little sullen here, think that was probably the fortieth pose he had done that day, i ve got hundreds of photos of him but obviously alot are as a puppy, others are play poses which doesnt give as clear an impression of him for identification..

Hi there. I have been following Levis story while keeping up with Marks about Lucy. Sorry to hear there is no positive news about him yet, hes such a lovely looking boy too! I live in west yorks, so not on your immediate doorstep, but i do have relatives over in Walkington and Brough area, one who is a teacher somewhere over there too. I have forwarded on the poster to them and request that they do what they can to help. Heres hoping that someone will soon come up with some good news for us. I am thinking, although im not so close to Scarborough, i live near a canal marina.........do we think its worth me printing off this poster and asking our friends who run the marina to put the poster up? Infact, thinking about it - there are often people coming and going....i'll make sure they get a copy this weekend if you think it may help?

Shelly and I have put together a mailing campaign. We are sending out letters and posters of Levi to 90 pubs in a ten mile radius of Dingbats home. All addresses have been collated. We are hoping someone somewhere will come forward with some information as a result. The big mail out day is tomorrow. Based on what happens with this, it might be a good idea at a later stage to roll it out to pubs further a field too. I have also just sent 40+ emails with Levi's poster to Dog Rescue Centres in the North. Will do central and southern ones tomorrow. Fingers crossed, Helen x

on behalf of dingbat thank you for your support, no one felt like going on line last night. despite the dog having been checked for a chip i felt that it might still be levi so i spoke to dingbat and we agreed that i should still go and have a look. fortunately the lady was happy to let me look at him. i met the lady in question at brighouse tesco but knew immediately that it was not levi. however i gave her some posters (because she says she rehomes dogs)and then went up to scarborough. it was a difficult time for dingbat he looked so dejected and morose i didnt know what to do.

I am very sorry not to bring better news, but the lady had the staffy scanned for chip very thoroughly by the vet, and he hasn't a chip :( So back to the drawing board, folks - BUT this episode has brought Levi some helpful media attention, Dingbat was on Yorks radio live today I believe.

Hi Shelly, dog article looked good, pic & story about what levi means to me etc. Nolook with sightings. Recieve this email thismorning; As you may know I look regularly in the free ad papers online to check for Levi on the basis that someone might try and sell him on at some stage. Last week I put an advert on Adtrader online and also in the Yorkshire paper edition of Adtrader, appealing for information. I included one of his photos and your description of Levi (didn't mention the reward by the way). I should have asked your permission to do so and so for that I am sorry. it was a sort of 'spur of the moment thing'. Anyway, related to this, last night my husband took a call from a lady at 10pm and this is where it all goes a bit wrong. The lady, in a thick yorkshire accent, asks my husband if the dog is still missing as she she thinks she may have just bought him off someone and had noticed the ad in adtrader which looked a good match. My husband got confused and thought the phonecall was related to when our bull terrier went missing a few months ago (we got her back by the way) and told the lady that we'd found the dog!. He then told me and I rushed to the phone to do 1471 to call the lady back but her telephone number had not registered on our phone. Consequetly I called BT to see if they could trace the call but they can't. I'm so sorry. My husband is beside himself at his stupidity. On a brighter side this lady may well take her new dog to the vets for a check up where he'll be scanned etc. Fingers crossed. Other than hoping for this to happen I have taken this action this morning in an attempt to track down this lady: I called Adtrader this morning and they are unable to trace the call to our phone from this lady last nigh too. However a new advert is appearing in Yorkshire adtrader on Wednesday with Levi's details on it and they are also putting a request for that lady to call back. The ad is also already online on th

You may like to saturate the following areas with leaflets - Hertford Close, Herdborough Road, Caymer Road, particularly the top ends of all these roads, Hawthorn walk too, this is were you'll find the majority of the staffie lads. Their dogs are kept in kennels in the back gardens and are rarely seen except by neighbours. A dog can very easily vanish in that area without ever leaving the estate. Good luck

someone went to farfield workshop wykem and farfieldforge locton andputposters uptoday but the area didnt seem that like the description from the psychic but time will tell, somone is giving out posters in retford and worksop, amgoing to email some of the other places further away which have a connection to far field.

Can anyone through any light on recent psychic readings; A few things have come into my mind regarding Levi. I have had an image of a man wearing either blue or green overall type clothing. A building with a flat roof and wide solid doors... no glass in them. There is a grass verge which curves around onto a car park. I'm feeling that the man is entering a place of work. Have had the word 'farfield' in my head. Levi needs to be advertised as lost here and leads coming on from this.

I'm trying to make a publicity campaign happen around scanning and buying dogs. I heard about you from Nattyone on the Refuge site and I hope that we might work together somehow. With help from others, I'm planning a national dog rally (Dogs Against Theft) in May and have heard on tonight's Crufts that something called Bark in the Park might be happening anyway so would be worth trying to use - piggy back on what they are doing which I THINK is raising funds for guide or assistance dogs. on behalf of dingbat, not great at moment , getting difficult to stay positive . went to beverley near hull to look at a dog for rehoming that a guy called and said thought might be levi but it wasnt, have emailed all the media angles and am now going to try to contact all vets to ask them to check any new dog for a microchip that looks like levi, all rspca for dogs they come into contact with and post to all police stations. starting with the north of england and working down and across, to try for a different angle. next week end i will try to give out posters in the centre of scarborough. getting worriedas well cos somekennelsdon't appear to advertize.

on behalf of dingbat tried another clairvoyant but this one was useless, but will try anything. given posters to people who read gas meters, they are in agreement about how petty the council workers are being taking down the posters. e mailed further details including how ill this is making me to other dog rescuse in the country. had an emailfrom a lay from voluntary services in scarborough who said she would help to get levi's profile higher.

Dingbat any luck with news coverage? Just wondering if it would be worth a whole load of us bombarding the newsdesks with pleas to run his story. This may make them sit up and notice and it's always amazing what a bit of persistance can achieve. I know that most, if not all, newspapers and tv news have emails that you can send in a story to. yes will do that, thanks. the dog warden is not the most proactive person in the world and is abit like the elusive pimpernel. but he does have the details, and so do the kennels who are much more proactive and supportive will try ringing around again though.

we sent the local schools a poster for the teachers with a child version with a direct plea from levi asking for help because he was lost and wanted to go home and a request to inform staff rather than a phone number. but could try e mailing again

had a text from someone saying a dog matching levi's description was seen with 3 lads around the barracliff area. had people out looking but nothing. not sure how honest this was something didnt quite ring true wonder if it was an attempt to keep us away from edgehill but will be surveying both as well as the rest of the area. thanx to everyone for their continued support .

recent information although not very specific has indicated that levi may be in the edgehill area we have increased the posters in that area and are making regular trips each day but so far we have had no look, there is council cctv in the area and we are going to contact them in an attempt to gain further information this fits in with some of the details from the clairvoyant we are still keeping the posters going generally and going out every day in thehopes of spotting him.

still getting posters put up in the area, put some(20-30) on the front of one of the local councilestates and within 3 hours they had all been taken down seemed strange so went and put them all back up again and we are keeping a close eye on the area but also spreading the message about levi as much as possible and putting up more and more posters

Any news on the school lead?? Maybe it would be worth speaking to Headteacher and try to keep children away in case he's a bit scared!! Kids crowded dogs when I was in school if one came in the playground?? Teacher on duty may be able to keep eyes peeled and put a poster in the staff room and notice boards for all to see?? had a visit last night 9.30 ish from a woman who said she had heard from a couple of people that a dog meeting levi@s description had been seen hanging around a local high school for the last few days always around lunch time had gone up to the children but run away when someone tried to tether him, i had people out last night till midnight and have had them out this morning at sun rise no joy yet butthey are going out again later also posters been put up on the beach and regulary checks beingmade there as well.

unfortunately not still getting calls from people who have seen dogs nothing comeof it yet although of course we are following up every lead immediately, going to try another clairvoyant, we are recirculating posters daily as well as people are out looking all the time still had no news of the area described by the last clairvoyant but the inland water ways have circulated the description to all their staff , we have widened the search in the area and also further afield, have emailed levi photos etc to guide dogs to help with circulation as theyareout and about alot. have e mailed gmtv des an mel this morning but not got any reply

In view of the fact Levi has now been missing for over 3 weeks & we have posters everywhere in the Scarborough area, we are widening the search & would be grateful if Anybody in the surrounding area could put out some posters, be vigilent and look out for anyone with a dog fitting his description. also does anyoune any where know where the canal with the lock and the pub with the white walled garden is or the green/blue transit van, the man aged 30-40 with short sandy brown hair and a mole on the left side of his face this may be considerably further inland and he may have other dogs with him, we have looked at linton locks in york and around knottingley so far, thank you

have contacted the canal ways agency regarding pin pointing the location of the description, however have concentrated locally of falsgrave park and the mere since the clairvoyent said he was with other dogs and some walkers in these locations have a few dogs so will belooking there regularly

You need to ask friends and family whether any of those locations mean anything. If you can pinpoint the locations then efforts can be concentrated there. I worked with a psychic who decribed locations and once we found them they were exactly spot on. Some people helping you may snigger, but tell them there have been results in other cases.

the tv bit went well, jayne you where on-but im not sure the idea of telling folk theres easy money to be made by stealing dogs and selling them in pubs was a good idea as all those desperate for easy money might not of thought about making it that way yet you did feel for the owner sat there in his chhair and you could tell how much he was missing him, hopefully someone might come forward.

A possible lead last night! A local Taxi company who had displayed the poster over heard some men saying that looks just like the dog Lisa said she had found,they then were told to not say anything more but taxi driver ranf to say he dropped them off at Race course road,East Ayton-which is just a few miles away-we are presuming this Lisa lives locally. Phychey one of our helpers lives in this area and has made contact with owner-hopefully the reward will flush her out.

As you can all see from the photo levi is an extremely handsome young man but to trully appreciate his greatness there is probably a few things you ,should know. Firstly levi is my constant companion, the light in my darkness, you may think this is simply the emotional view of a dog lover, well true, but also he transformed my life, i have been a quadraplegic since 2001 and although i have always tried to maintain as independent a life as you can when you are wheelchair bound and paralysed from the chest down, there were some very dark days where i asked myself what is the point. however from the first day i spent with levi then a six week old bundle of love, curiosity and sincerity i was bessotted and my emotional life seemed complete. We are a team and do everything together he rolls around on my knee sitting at the computer or in front of the tv, sleeping by my side and generaly ensuring that any task i attempt is completed to an acceptable levi standard, we lookafter each other additionally he provides a source ofsecurity and reassurance as there is only him and me. although not an assistance dog levi is my star, he has the x factor that my life was and currently is missing.

hi volcano here hope this info helps, find out if any travellers near by, do you have an asian newspaper locally write and ask them for their help absolutely saturate anywhere you can with posters, talk to school children ask them in turn to talk to their friends ask any free newspapers to run story make the dog too hot to hang on to. try and make friends with any drug addicts particularly those with dogs they are a mine of info no matter how fed up people get of you approaching them keep on doing it remember these people have to buy dog food ask your shops if they have had anyone in new buying food find out every kennel/police number withing a 20 mile radius ring every day if you can make sure all rescue centres have a poster good luck
