After bumping in to Kayla's mum on Pups page we promised to help remind the UK she still hasn't been found.

We did her a big share out and also put her in a Thunderclap. If anyone is passing please help remind the UK to xx

Hi. I am the person who came across a black female cocker spaniel on Werneth Low Stockport/Hyde SK14. She has a white stripe down her chest. Her tail is not docked. I took her to the vets but they could not detect a micro chip. Query pregnant? If you would like any further details, please give me a ring. I have a short video of her if that might help to identify her. She is a beautiful dog and wonderful with the children.

There has been a female Cocker Spaniel found at Wermeth Low Manchester yesterday.24/9/14 The finder has informed the dog warden but they have said she is not chipped and possibly pregnant. Chip could have worked its way out or moved. Message for Debi - was pleased to see your comment dated 29/8/14. Wanted to call you on finding out about Kayla's disappearance but was a little wary of doing so being Kayla's ex-owner. Please let me know if you would be open to me calling you so as to work together to try and get Kayla back (no hassle guaranteed) - I only want what is best for her.

DLB can you please send the chip number in to admin quoting dog ID5816 and I will update Kayla's details.
As the ex-owner I have the microchip number of this dog - should you wish to update the information then this I think should be done via admin. Please let me know via another comment and I will then contact admin with this detail which may enhance the search for this dog.
Happiness yorkie lover xxx
Ah bless xx is there a crime number xx and have chip details been updated xxx
I am this dog's original owner and I have just found out about this tragic occurrence and I must say that I am appalled. She was very dearly loved by me and my family but due to serious unforeseen circumstances I was unable to keep her. I entrusted her to the care of the West Yorkshire Dog Rescue where she was placed with a foster family and rehomed about 5 days later - all of this in July of last year when Kayla was aged 7 months - she was born on the 26 December 2012 so would have been little more than 9 months old when her pups were born - really only a puppy herself. I really feel that Kayla should not have been allowed to get pregnant and the Rescue should have had a duty of care towards her to prevent this. I don't wish to cause any hassle whatsoever for her new owner who obviously made a big mistake in allowing this to happen and has paid dearly for this. Obviously the pups will have by now got new homes so I doubt that it will be possible to trace them. My main concern now is for their mum - Kayla and what the thieves will have done with her once the puppies were weaned. I would like to offer help and support in trying to find her - so please let me know if there is anything i can do to help in finding her.
Could you check out this one found. I can't see a clear enough picture of Layla's chest but you may well know and it may be worth an enquiry

I have also listed this found one onto Doglost found section.Last edited: 2014-04-07 08:44:36 by Sarah

I Would like to thank all the kind people who have messaged emailed and called. Regarding possible sightings and information about KAYLA and the puppies. We have changed the time of theft due to no poo or wee on rear patio. As the pups were only 2 weeks KAYLA was still in recovery and doing well. We would appreciate any info how ever small and hope for the safe return of our family members.
Advertised in this weeks Countryman's Weekly magazine. I hope it brings some news.

Have updated details as added by a friend of owners. The dogs were stolen yesterday afternoon they were not out overnight. Please stop sending abusive texts to an already very worried owner and lets concentrate on finding the dog and puppies!
I hope you find your pups and dog .. i notice everyone is chipping in about pups being outside .. im NOT one of them i been round gundog people all my life who keep dogs and pups outside and in lovely heated ..well cared for conditions.. stop having a go at these people .. and just keep a look out for these dogs .. i hope you find them soon
As this dog is chipped is that in the rescues name if so they need contacting...I hope that the mum and pups are found well I think I do...if they are not in the right hands

While it isn't ideal for puppies to be outside it is certainly warm enough at night for young pups, I live quite close and don't have the heating on and often sleep without my duvet because it is so warm at night.

There are a lot of horse riders in the area, quite a few livery yards and the Rockwood Hunt kennels are close, I am disabled so can't get out and about as I would like.

Yes I can see why we need to concentrate on getting Kayla and her puppies back home however the rescue needs checking out as well. I signed a contract when I adopted my dog to have her spayed at the earliest opportunity. She would have been spayed except she was too young. I do hope you find Kayla and her off spring very soon.
