Hi I volunteer at the dog training centre in greenfield and we have recently started a local lost dog wall... Just thought you might like to know I will be adding hetties poster to the wall tonight! We have lots of dog owners that live locally and will happily keep their eye out for her :) x

I have some time to spare today and will take Ruby and have a good look for Hettie. Where would it be most useful to look? I was thinking perhaps Crompton Moor/Bishops Park/Strinesdale.Last edited: 2013-11-15 08:27:46 by Delph Dog Walking

Possible sighting reported at 9.30 am at the Roebuck in Strinsdale, sounds like Hettie as the dog stopped when she heard the car ( which she does) unfortunatly when he approached her she intially came but the turned round and ran off . Reported to houses in the area
Searched all around the area for approx 4 hours sadly no further sightings.
Going up again early tommorrow morning

Parked at car park by Brun Clough reservoir where I put up a poster and walked a mile and a half along the Penine Way above Castleshaw reservoirs. Passed Hettie's contact details on to people I met and there were quite a few out with it being such a nice day. Sadly no sighting though.

Have been up on Pule Hill ( behind the Carriage House Pub) and down into Marsden this morning but unfortunately there was no sign of Hettie there. Have also alerted a friend in Delph and shared on facebook. Hope she's found soon and I'll continue looking.
Hettie
Thank you Lorna = i have looked on most of the moorland for approx 4 mile radius over the weekend and today , Sadly no sighting

Have put posters in Greenfield Tesco, Castleshaw Centre public car park and one on a sign at the junction between Dirty Lane and Castleshaw Top Bank. Very wet so couldn't put more up outside. Walked along and posted flyers through the doors of houses on Cote Lane and Dirty Lane (which becomes Bleak Hey Nook Lane) until it meets Stanedge Foot Rd. Although mild, the mist made visibility very poor and since I'm not very familiar with this area, I didn't go off path on to the moors and unfortunately didn't see any sign of Hettie in the area I covered. Spoke to a small number of people who now know to look out for her. Hope she turns up safely soon.

Sorry to see that HETTIE SIGHTED is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (59775)

  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
