Sid has a blue closed ring on his left leg with the unique number 82613UIBR and leather anklets on both legs had him from an egg... if anyone knows of someone who has just acquired a barn owl (they should all have ring numbers to comply with current legislation) without the appropriate paperwork or a ring then we can ask the police to follow up...

I came across a similar owl on Sunday night. It was sat in the rd watching a frog crawl away, it was just after Tealby on the country rd heading towards the tea rooms at the top of bully hill.
