Whippet Brindle With White Chest

Found in 8am today wednesday 3rd June. Running down from the Gloucester Road in Cirencester toward Daglingworth on the Overlay Road (daglingworth Road), spotted by Stratton Church graveyard on Wednesday, 3rd June 2015

Stopped the car and got out, it ran towards me, crouched down but the dog ran past, one thing noted, pale blue like nylon rope tied round it's neck, snapped off short so not dragging behind it but obviously been tied up somewhere, couldn't see if there was collar. Brindle brown and black with large white patch on chest, would say it was a small/medium dog. Worried as cars fly down that road in rush hour and very fast narrow lane. Looks like the dog in the photo (this is not the dog)
