Posted on cumbria site.......Just been driving passed the Kirkstone Pass Pub about 10am and we seen a Beagle/Hound type dog on its own in the mountain/hills. We stopped our car and another man also stopped and my husband and this other man tried to get to the dog but it just kept running further up , higher and higher. After about 30-45 mins of trying they lost it and came back down. We were leaving but the other man decided to stay and go back up and have another look. I don't know whether or not it has escaped out of a house or campsite or if it had ran off while on a walk. I just hope it gets re-united back with its owner.
