This was posted 23hrs ago on Doglost South West....A POSSIBLE DAISY DOODLE SIGHTING.
Good evening everyone and hope your all enjoying the sunshine today.
There has not been much to report in the last few months and yet I know everyone keeps their eyes open for Daisy Doodle which I appreciate so much. But we might have had a Daisy sighting. It was last night (wed night) about 11.45- midnight. A friend of mine who lives on Moore Lane, Budleigh was awoken by her dog barking madly wanting to get outside. She looked outside from her bedroom window and saw a black animal, she doesn't want to say its a dog but it was bigger than a fox, tail was very different and certainly not a badger and not cat.
Her dog obviously startled the animal because it ran off but then ran past the window again trying to find a way out then it disappeared.
This morning she did take some photos of the paw prints and will email them to me if she can.
We know Daisy comes back to Budleigh on occasions so there is no reason why it couldn't be her .

So did anyone else have dogs barking madly just before midnight?

Did anyone see a black shadow anywhere?

As per usual if you think you saw anything or heard anything do let me know even if your not sure it is relevant . You can call/text me on 07984428074 or message me on here.
Thank you for all your help it is always appreciated.

One last thing please also keep your eye out for the 2 Jack Russel's that went missing on Friday from along the Otter.

Sighting of curly coated dog this morning - Woodbury Common. Posted on FB group - Lost and Found Cats and Dogs in Exmouth Exeter and East Devon. https://www.facebook.com/groups/lafcad/?fref=ts This is what the post says: My dad was out walking this morning with the dogs and he saw a black lab and a curly coated dog probably a labradodle. Both very wet and he couldn't see that they were with anyone. He was over Woodbury common walking around the walk on the way down towards yettington (left hand side of the road). Both dogs shot off into the woods and disappeared. Heard of Daisy the labradodle missing and wondered if it could be her but not heard of a black lab missing. Any ideas?Last edited: 2015-12-24 14:18:37 by Sarah

I do hope you catch Daisy soon. She has been out far too long now. It sounds like she could do with a good bath and lots of cuddles. Sorry we are too far away to help, but we are thinking of you. xx

Any more news of Daisy? We are in Brixham but could come and help search with our Doodles on Sunday if it would help. There are the Devon Diehards Doodle walking group we can alert to get help with a search. Let me know if that will help with her.

Bumping again due to most recent sighting,

Hi Everybody.
Thanks for all the sharing, likes and advice from the last posting.

I am now 99% certain it is Daisy up there. The lady that saw Daisy actually tried coaxing Daisy for over an hour but this lady had dogs with her and she herself has MS so there was no way she could chase Daisy.
Daisy was up and over the hills at the back of Tidwell manor/farm in Knowle. She really looks very shaggy and matted and her coat is in a bad way.

If you have not done it already, it could be worth asking any food outlets, supermarkets, cafes or restaurants in this area if their bins have been tampered with?

Just driven around the area now the wind/rain has calmed down scanning the area before going off to look for Pringle too. It is good Daisy is showing herself in the day but I thought I would check the early hours too as easy to pick up eyes in headlights/torch light. Don't give up - we are still looking for Pringle for his owners and he still gets seen after all this time. Have you considered K9 search yet? I think it would be good in this situation as soon as possible after the next sighting. Positive thoughts being sent xLast edited: 2013-12-19 01:01:42 by Lisa Culliford

update email....
Hi there, Daisy was sighted in the same area of Budleigh Salterton earlier this afternoon. She was apparently looking very skinny.
We've been out ever since but no joy.
Again acting on your suggestions we are laying down food in regular places, believing this area to be her familiar territory. We also walk around talking to her using familiar terms and gently encouraging her to come home, it's a really small area of sightings but so much open space and undergrowth- she could be hiding out anywhere.
But again, seen in broad daylight which IS encouraging.
The local paper are carrying her story again this week, I have just sent an update as they go to press tonight but I've no idea if it will be in time to make any changes. Would of course be great to keep people optimistic.

Here's hoping. At least she is still being seen. I'm sure many people never hear of their dogs again.

update email from owner...
Thank-you so much. Have just returned after a full day searching since sightings this morning. We have laid beautifully smelly food at sighting points and lay in wait, so far no luck. I have just sent a new piece to the local paper (published on Thursdays) so we can spread your advice about her possible familiar area and that we need to link up sightings and behaviours so we may get to her next destination before she does after the next sighting. It is SO frustrating arriving after she's been seen and not knowing where to focus our attention. But, her profile locally is HUGE and it seems everyone we talk to knows about Daisy and is on the lookout.
At least two people today were able to tempt her with food but she is now so nervous she barked and ran. She was followed at one point and we do believe we are closing in on her habitual areas. All sightings are beginning to join up and we can be fairly certain she is within a fairly small area. If it helps, that is within Little Knowle, Moore Lane, The Green, St. Peter's Church, and possibly the seafront of Budleigh Salterton.
We have increased posters in the area as well and added notes to existing ones to increase awareness of her current sightings.
Would you please thank any volunteers in our area? Thank-you.
Kindest,
Jennie

Sighted Midnight Wednesday/Thursday 27th/28th....email from owner below...

Daisy went missing at Otter Ledge which is a cliff area about one mile from the town (Budleigh Salterton) she was seen in on Thursday night/Friday morning. She was seen in the back garden of a local dogwarden in Brook Road behind the main High Street.
He says he would put money on it being Daisy. Unfortunately she bolted as he was approaching her. The area is densely populated, lots of back gardens and sheds for her to shelter in!

THANK-YOU!!
Jennie
