We spent an hour and a half earlier walking around the paths and some of the wilder stretches of woodland at the Malltraeth end of the forest - no sign there. Also spoke to a couple who had walked from there all the way down to the beach west of Llanddwyn Island, and they had not seen a dog wandering alone. Sorry - and hope you get some sightings soon.

We'll come down at about 12.30, if she hasn't turned up by then. Will park by the Malltraeth end of the forest and walk around there, in case she has gone inland through the woods. We have two friendly dogs, who would notice if there was another dog hiding nearby. Hope she's back with her mum by then though.

Janice, her mum, is back on the beach searching this morning - any help gratefully received - Sylvia is used to other dogs, but maybe cautious without her family around her. I don't know the area at all, but Janice will be on the beach near the toll road this morning?. Please, if you can get there, please help search for this dear dog xx

Any news re Sylvia? And any search groups organised? I live a few miles away and could come down to search early this afternoon. Does she like other dogs or would she be frightened by them?
